翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換理論下的齊河黑陶宣傳資料漢英翻譯報(bào)告

文化作為國(guó)家的一種軟實(shí)力受到越來(lái)越多的關(guān)注,而翻譯作為跨文化交際的媒介,其重要性不言而喻。翻譯不僅僅是語(yǔ)言間的轉(zhuǎn)換,要想做好翻譯,還需要處理好語(yǔ)言和文化的關(guān)系。外宣材料是為了能吸引更多人了解中國(guó),因此譯者在忠實(shí)原文的基礎(chǔ)上,還要有目標(biāo)導(dǎo)向。本報(bào)告以齊河黑陶相關(guān)材料的漢英翻譯為例,嘗試用卡特福德的翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換理論來(lái)描述和分析外宣文本的翻譯過(guò)程。其中,層次轉(zhuǎn)換體現(xiàn)在詞匯和語(yǔ)法兩方面;漢語(yǔ)中的詞匯變化在譯為英語(yǔ)時(shí)往往通過(guò)語(yǔ)法形式表現(xiàn)出來(lái),比如名詞的單復(fù)數(shù)形式及動(dòng)詞時(shí)態(tài)。范疇轉(zhuǎn)換則包括結(jié)構(gòu)轉(zhuǎn)換、類別轉(zhuǎn)換、單位轉(zhuǎn)換和內(nèi)部系統(tǒng)轉(zhuǎn)換?ㄌ馗5聦⒃鲎g、減譯、重復(fù)等經(jīng)驗(yàn)性的翻譯策略提升到理論高度,為翻譯實(shí)踐提供了較為系統(tǒng)的框架和更堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。但該理論也具有一定局限性,比如卡氏理論局限于語(yǔ)言學(xué)思維,并且只涉及到句子及以下層級(jí)的轉(zhuǎn)換,忽略對(duì)段落和語(yǔ)篇的分析。因此,本文作者在卡氏轉(zhuǎn)換理論基礎(chǔ)上嘗試增加對(duì)語(yǔ)義、文化、語(yǔ)篇等方面的分析,以期使篇章銜接連貫,有效地傳遞文化內(nèi)涵,增強(qiáng)譯文的可讀性。
