筆者此次研究的翻譯任務(wù)是美國當代西方心靈哲學(xué)領(lǐng)域著名的哲學(xué)家柯林·麥金（Colin McGinn）近期的一本著作Basic Structure of Reality:Essays in Metaphysics的第十章和第十一章的前半部分。此部分是最能反應(yīng)麥金最新哲學(xué)思想、也是觀點極其新穎的一章,且就翻譯難度來說,其間論證復(fù)雜,更為適合作為翻譯研究的藍本。筆者為了做好這一任務(wù),認真學(xué)習(xí)了并且正在學(xué)習(xí)西方哲學(xué)史、心靈哲學(xué)與麥金哲學(xué)的知識,并閱讀了大量的平行文本。筆者此次嘗試運用彼得·紐馬克的文本類型理論對所選材料從詞、句、語篇三個角度進行分析,并分別探討相應(yīng)的翻譯方法與技巧。本文主要由五部分組成:第一部分為此次翻譯任務(wù)的介紹,包括背景、目的與意義。第二部分為此次翻譯任務(wù)的流程,分別展示了作者在譯前、譯中、譯后三個階段對此次翻譯文本所做的工作。第三部分介紹了紐馬克的文本類型理論,哲學(xué)文本的大致特點以及該理論在此類文本中的可應(yīng)用性。第四部分從詞匯、句法、語篇三個層面對此次翻譯材料進行了更深入的研究,提出了文本類型理論視角下的哲學(xué)文本的翻譯技巧。第五部分總結(jié)此次翻譯任務(wù)的收獲與不足。
