【摘要】：自從泰勒創(chuàng)建完形填空以來,它在國內外都得到了廣泛的應用,特別是分項選擇式完形填空。格式塔心理學認為“完形”就是補全某一圖式中空缺的自然心理傾向。此外,冗余信息理論和預期語法說認為學生可以根據(jù)上下文信息來補全空白,從而考察學生的綜合能力。國內外關于完形填空的研究有很多。然而,對于不同類型完形填空之間的對比研究都不夠全面深入。筆者選取了開放式完形填空與在教學中應用廣泛的分項選擇式完形填空,從多個角度對它們進行了深入的對比研究,旨在探討哪種形式的完形填空更能有效地測量和提高學生的語言綜合能力。本論文擬研究以下三個問題:第一,學生對開放式完形填空和分項選擇式完形填空持有的態(tài)度是否不同?第二,開放式與分項選擇式完形填空在難度和區(qū)分度上是否存在差異?第三,開放式與分項選擇式完形填空在提高學生語言綜合能力方面是否存在差異?本研究的實驗對象是來自錦州市錦陽高中高二年級兩個班的共90名學生,一個為實驗班,一個為控制班。在本研究中,筆者對學生進行了前測、后測、問卷調查、訪談和開放式完形填空與分項選擇式完形填空的測試。此外,對控制班的學生進行了18周的分項選擇式完形填空的訓練,實驗則接受了開放式完形填空的訓練。訓練結束后,兩個班的學生同時進行了后測。最后,利用SPSS11.5對測試和問卷中收集的數(shù)據(jù)進行了定量分析,同時訪談進行了定性分析。研究表明,第一,與開放式完形填空相比,學生們對于分項選擇式完形填空的態(tài)度更積極。第二,開放式完形填空的難度和區(qū)分度都比分項選擇式完形填空要高。第三,與分項選擇式完形填空相比,開放式完形填空更能有效地提高學生們的綜合語言能力。因此,對于英語老師來說,關注學生對于學習和測試的態(tài)度是很重要的。其次,設計難度適當?shù)臏y試是必要的。最后,在英語教學和訓練中,老師可以多使用開放式完形填空以提高學生的綜合語言能力。希望本研究能引起高中英語教師和學生對開放式完形填空的重視。
