語言是社會發(fā)展的產(chǎn)物,隨著時代的變遷、科學技術的發(fā)展以及新事物的不斷涌現(xiàn),語言也在不斷地更新著。語言隨著社會變遷的同時,其自身也實時客觀地反映著社會現(xiàn)實,因此我們常說語言與社會相互影響,同生共長。而新詞作為語言最活躍的一部分,其變化速度更是勢不可擋。英語政治新詞作為新詞的特殊種類,更是實時客觀地反映著當前政治局勢、政治事件以及經(jīng)濟文化政策等,英語政治新詞及其意義的產(chǎn)生絕不是憑空而來的,勢必遵循著一定的規(guī)律,因此有必要對英語政治新詞產(chǎn)生的認知過程以及社會建構過程進行進一步地分析探討,從而讓我們更好地理解語詞及其背后所反映出的社會現(xiàn)實以及政治生態(tài)系統(tǒng)。前人對于英語新詞的研究可謂層出不窮,涉及到各個不同的領域和視角,主要包括詞典學、詞匯學、形態(tài)學、語用學、社會語言學、認知語言學以及認知社會語言學等。但是,相關研究大都集中于對新詞定義的界定研究,以及新詞的搜集和修正,亦或是就新詞產(chǎn)生原因進行一般性的探討,而鮮有理論性的支撐。比如,傳統(tǒng)的社會語言學注重語言現(xiàn)象的羅列,缺少對語言背后認知機制的考察。隨著認知語言學的發(fā)展,新詞的研究逐漸轉向了語言內(nèi)部,學者開始關注研究語言背后的認知機制,但總的來說,...
