本翻譯報(bào)告原文選自《人類能源史》第十七章。這本書展示了能源轉(zhuǎn)變的過程:從木材到煤炭,石油代替煤炭,如今轉(zhuǎn)向天然氣、核能和可再生能源。本次翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告的目的是運(yùn)用卡特福德轉(zhuǎn)換理論解決翻譯過程中的翻譯難點(diǎn)。第十七章的文本屬于科技文本,半技術(shù)性和技術(shù)性詞匯以及許多長句和復(fù)合句是本報(bào)告的翻譯難點(diǎn)。通過譯者對文本的分析,對技術(shù)性詞匯以及其它詞匯采取注解及翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換方法完成,長句以及復(fù)合句采取拆分、轉(zhuǎn)換等翻譯方法完成。本翻譯報(bào)告共有六章。第一章簡要介紹了翻譯報(bào)告的背景、意義和結(jié)構(gòu)。第二章主要介紹作者的背景、原文的主要內(nèi)容,出版信息以及語言特點(diǎn)。第三章介紹了指導(dǎo)理論。第四章分析翻譯難點(diǎn)。第五章為案例分析,并提出相應(yīng)的翻譯方法。第六章總結(jié)了翻譯過程中獲得的啟發(fā)和解決的問題。通過本次翻譯實(shí)踐,筆者深刻理解科技文本翻譯必須了解相關(guān)的專業(yè)知識(shí),采用恰當(dāng)?shù)姆g方法,準(zhǔn)確傳達(dá)科技文本的意義。此外,筆者學(xué)到了語言外的知識(shí),但還應(yīng)加強(qiáng)中英文雙語的學(xué)習(xí)。
