《道德經(jīng)》是中國第一部完整的哲學(xué)著作,是東方智慧的代表。“在過去一個多世紀(jì)的時間里,《道德經(jīng)》已經(jīng)成為被譯介得最多的中國典籍,在英語世界的發(fā)行量僅次于《圣經(jīng)》和《薄伽梵歌》”（辛紅娟,2008）。西方國家將譯介的《道德經(jīng)》用于指導(dǎo)社會生活,在哲學(xué)、文學(xué)、科學(xué)、政治等領(lǐng)域產(chǎn)生了深遠(yuǎn)的影響。在《道德經(jīng)》的翻譯研究中,研究者多傾向于從翻譯理論、翻譯技巧、文化傳播等角度進(jìn)行分析,并取得了豐碩的研究成果。自上世紀(jì)八十年代“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”以來的翻譯現(xiàn)象的重新定位,意味著語言背后的文化、社會、政治、譯者心理等方面的因素也納入了翻譯研究范圍�？蚣苷Z義視角正是順應(yīng)這樣要求的研究方法,尤其是框架理論在翻譯研究方面體現(xiàn)出較好的理論優(yōu)勢和應(yīng)用潛力。此前框架理論應(yīng)用研究更多集中于文學(xué),尤其是中國古典詩歌的英譯研究,關(guān)于中國古代哲學(xué)著作英譯的認(rèn)知研究,特別是其中的認(rèn)知操作研究尚不多見。由此,本文以框架理論為理論基礎(chǔ),試圖檢驗(yàn)肖開容（2012）推出的“框架操作”的理論模型在《道德經(jīng)》翻譯中的應(yīng)用的有效性;并對亞瑟·韋利、林語堂和辜正坤三個不同《道德經(jīng)》翻譯版本中的框架操作及翻譯策略進(jìn)行分析,進(jìn)一步探討框架操作對譯者選擇...
