本文是一篇基于《加利福尼亞之遺產(chǎn)》第五章的翻譯實踐報告。此書主要講述了由加州淘金熱引發(fā)的一系列事件政治,經(jīng)濟,社會和文化的變革。翻譯此類著作,可以幫助讀者了解19世紀美國的這一重要歷史事件,以及當時美國人民的生存狀況和當時的社會歷史風貌。同時也為筆者提供翻譯專業(yè)學術(shù)著作的實踐機會。本翻譯實踐報告主要是在目的論的指導下,為美國淘金熱時期的研究提供更多的素材,并希望能夠為跨學科文本的翻譯實踐提供更多有益的參考。本實踐報告由四個章節(jié)組成,第一章是翻譯任務(wù)描述,包括任務(wù)背景,文本特點和作者簡介。第二章是翻譯過程描述,包括譯前準備和術(shù)語表的制定,翻譯理論的選擇,翻譯策略的選擇以及翻譯計劃執(zhí)行情況。第三章是案例分析,主要介紹了翻譯實踐中出現(xiàn)的問題類型及解決過程。第四章是翻譯實踐總結(jié),包括翻譯實踐中未解決的問題及對今后的啟發(fā)。
