漢英“馬/Horse”隱喻的文化認(rèn)知研究

馬作為人類的得力工具和親密伙伴,在人們生活中的交通、生產(chǎn)、體育、娛樂等領(lǐng)域都具有重要的作用,它們與人類緊密聯(lián)系在一起,連許多語言表達(dá)中都有馬的身影。在人類認(rèn)識世界和理解自己的過程中,他們通過馬這種熟悉的動物去理解相較之下更為陌生或抽象的人類特質(zhì)和其他事物。這一語言現(xiàn)象在中英文中都有所體現(xiàn),為語言學(xué)研究提供了十分有價(jià)值的研究視角。早期研究從較為整體的視角出發(fā),主要包括語言學(xué)、文學(xué)和社會研究。后來,學(xué)者們逐漸不再滿足于概括性的研究,把重點(diǎn)聚焦在某一種具體的動物表達(dá)上。他們從語言和文化的視角來這些研究與馬有關(guān)的語言表達(dá),但語言和文化被作為兩種不同的視角來分開討論。盡管有的研究提到了文化因素,但僅僅是作為眾多因素中的一種,而其他的文化語言學(xué)研究中少有提及有關(guān)馬的表達(dá),即便有,也不是作為研究主體。然而,漢英“馬”隱喻的應(yīng)用差異確實(shí)存在,這一現(xiàn)狀受不同民族文化的影響。因此,本文基于認(rèn)知語言學(xué)中的概念隱喻理論和文化語言學(xué)中的文化概念化理論,一方面專注于漢英“馬”隱喻的隱喻義研究,在對比研究中主體為與馬有關(guān)的中文隱喻表達(dá),而英文的“馬”隱喻則作為對比和補(bǔ)充。另一方面,漢英“馬”隱喻產(chǎn)生異同的文化背景因...
