建議是說話人言及對聽話人有利的指令性言語,對維護(hù)和促進(jìn)交際雙方的社會關(guān)系有重要作用。前人對建議言語行為的研究多聚焦于日常話語中建議言語行為的分類、策略及其語言特征等,而對機(jī)構(gòu)話語中建議言語行為的語言實現(xiàn)形式及其所蘊(yùn)含的動因未做深入探討。本研究以中美外交部官方發(fā)言人在正式政治場合中的真實話語為語料,自建中美政治話語語料庫,分別對中美政治建議言語行為的言外之力指示手段及策略進(jìn)行定量分析。在此基礎(chǔ)上,本研究分別從禮貌的語言語用與社會語用(Leech,2014)兩個維度對中美政治建議言語行為的異同進(jìn)行質(zhì)性分析,旨在進(jìn)一步揭示其深層次語用理據(jù)。研究發(fā)現(xiàn):1)在言外之力指示手段方面,中國政治建議主要通過“間接建議”實現(xiàn),如“暗示”、“無人稱”及“間接施為動詞”等;而美國政治建議主要采取“規(guī)約建議”,如“特定程式”、“可能性”及“條件句”等。2)在策略方面,中美政治建議都強(qiáng)調(diào)“聽話人主導(dǎo)”且伴有“補(bǔ)救策略”;而在“隱性主導(dǎo)”、“規(guī)約間接”及“無補(bǔ)救策略”等層面,中美兩國政治建議均存在顯著性差異。3)本研究進(jìn)一步從敬語形式、情態(tài)動詞、自稱轉(zhuǎn)換等禮貌的語言語用維度與垂直距離、水平距離以及交際的權(quán)衡等社會...
