目前國內(nèi)外事翻譯研究領域,以具體外事單位為對象展開翻譯活動數(shù)據(jù)調(diào)研的報告甚少,更多調(diào)研報告是以中國翻譯市場或者某省份翻譯市場作為調(diào)研對象�；谶@個現(xiàn)狀,本文以廣西壯族自治區(qū)外事辦公室、南寧外事辦公室、欽州外事辦公室、百色外事辦公室和桂林外事辦公室為調(diào)研對象,調(diào)查這五個外辦在2018年整年的外事翻譯活動數(shù)據(jù)。本調(diào)查聚焦各外辦的外事翻譯活動、語種分布、譯員職業(yè)能力和職業(yè)素養(yǎng)、翻譯質(zhì)量水平以及外事譯員前景等五大現(xiàn)狀。通過對五大現(xiàn)狀的分析了解廣西外事對專業(yè)翻譯人才的具體要求,以期為本土翻譯專業(yè)人才培養(yǎng)方案提供建議和意見。分析結(jié)果表明:1.廣西外事翻譯活動總體數(shù)量多,但地區(qū)之間差異大,對于翻譯人才的需求各地區(qū)之間各有不同:①區(qū)外辦和南寧外辦口筆譯活動多,需要的口筆譯譯員相對多;②欽州外辦口譯場次多,更需要口譯員;③百色外辦和桂林外辦筆譯字數(shù)多,更需要筆譯譯員。2.外事單位中各語種分布情況:①目標語國家排名:東盟地區(qū)國家英語國家其他國家;②活動語種排名:英語東盟國家語言其他國家語言;③譯員語種排名:英語越南語泰語。結(jié)合三項排名,外辦擁有的語種與實際外事翻譯活動需要的語種不對稱,廣西外事翻譯更需要復合型的外事翻譯人才。3.外事翻譯人才的要求:①翻譯專長能力強,②綜合能力素質(zhì)高,③注重外事職業(yè)規(guī)范。4.外事翻譯質(zhì)量要求高,對于譯員的能力做出了挑戰(zhàn)。5.廣西外事翻譯人才的需求會越來越大。研究對MTI教育的啟示為:1.以核心課程+輔修課程的形式增設與外事翻譯相關的課程。2.課程內(nèi)容需本土化。3.通過學校與外事機構(gòu)合作實施多樣化的實訓課程。
