【摘要】：本文基于現(xiàn)代英語語法學(xué)的理論,對形容詞雙重否定語言現(xiàn)象進行了探索,旨在分析英語形容詞雙重否定的使用特征。本文基于英國國家語料庫和美國當(dāng)代英語語料庫,采用定量分析和定性分析相結(jié)合的方法,在形容詞雙重否定的分布、統(tǒng)領(lǐng)原則和語用功能三個方面得出如下結(jié)論:1、在美式英語中,不同類型的形容詞雙重否定在不同語域中的分布情況具有顯著性差異。2、在英式英語中,不同類型的形容詞雙重否定在不同語域中的分布情況具有顯著性差異。3、對比研究后發(fā)現(xiàn),形容詞雙重否定在英、美語體之間的分布存在差異。4、本文發(fā)現(xiàn)形容詞雙重否定的使用受一般會話原則中的方式原則和合作原則中的質(zhì)量準(zhǔn)則兩大因素的影響。5、通過定性分析發(fā)現(xiàn),形容詞雙重否定主要有兩大功能:1)表達委婉禮貌、2)增加說服力。本研究兼具理論意義和實際意義。首先,在前人研究的基礎(chǔ)上增加了新的信息和新的觀點。其次,幫助英語學(xué)習(xí)者更清晰更深刻的理解雙重否定這一復(fù)雜的語言現(xiàn)象。再次本論文為提高英漢、漢英翻譯準(zhǔn)確度方面發(fā)揮重要作用。
[Abstract]:Based on the theory of modern English grammar, this paper explores the linguistic phenomenon of double negation of adjectives in order to analyze the characteristics of the use of double negation of adjectives in English. Based on the British National Corpus and the American Contemporary English Corpus, this paper adopts the combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to analyze the distribution of double negation in adjectives. In American English, there are significant differences in the distribution of double negation between different types of adjectives in different registers, while in British English, there are significant differences in the distribution of double negation between different types of adjectives. There are significant differences in the distribution of adjective double negation in different registers. A comparative study shows that adjective double negation is found in English. This paper finds that the use of double negation of adjectives is influenced by two major factors, I. e., the mode principle in the general conversational principle and the quality criterion in the cooperative principle. Adjective double negation has two main functions: 1) euphemism and politeness. This study has both theoretical and practical significance. First of all, new information and new viewpoints are added on the basis of previous studies. Secondly, it helps English learners understand the complex language phenomenon of double negation more clearly and deeply. Thirdly, this thesis plays an important role in improving the accuracy of English-Chinese and Chinese-English translation.
