【摘要】：選擇《性別社會》這本書,有兩方面原因:一是這本書在美國社會影響力大,涉及性別社會各個層面的研究,非常詳盡地講了不同性別生理和心理的差異,解析了性別不平等的現(xiàn)象和原因以及性別不平等導(dǎo)致的后果,有理有據(jù),可讀性和啟發(fā)性強(qiáng)。不僅對中國社會學(xué)領(lǐng)域的研究提供了理論和實踐經(jīng)驗的參考價值,還有利于人們對性別差異、性別平等的認(rèn)識和相關(guān)科學(xué)知識的普及。傳達(dá)作者提倡的性別平等理念有利于男女的和諧相處,從而促進(jìn)社會的和諧。二是這本書雖然已是第4版,影響力大,但是卻沒有漢譯本。如果能將這本書譯成漢語,供中國社會學(xué)專業(yè)的學(xué)生和老師閱讀將有利于拓寬他們的視野,學(xué)習(xí)新的理論和方法。由于《性別社會》這本書是科學(xué)類文本,信息量大,涉及的社會學(xué)知識較多,其中有許多專業(yè)術(shù)語和長難句,以及較長的語篇,翻譯難度較大。這本書的讀者主要是社會學(xué)專業(yè)的學(xué)生和老師,翻譯時要達(dá)到“忠實通順”的目的,傳達(dá)原文信息的基礎(chǔ)上,讓讀者明白其中的含義。與此目的相符合的理論便是功能目的論。目的論的三大原則:忠實原則、連貫原則、目的原則,要求譯文對原文形式和內(nèi)容、忠實與通順統(tǒng)籌兼顧,使譯文連貫,達(dá)到使讀者理解的目的。這對翻譯實踐起到了重要的指導(dǎo)作用。從詞匯、句法、語篇、文化四個層面分析了翻譯實踐中的案例,運(yùn)用了一些翻譯策略和技巧如詞匯層面主要注重詞義的選擇、詞義的引申、增譯、省譯這些翻譯技巧,句子層面運(yùn)用了換序、分譯、轉(zhuǎn)態(tài)等翻譯技巧,語篇層面通過增添銜接詞達(dá)到邏輯連貫,文化層面運(yùn)用了釋義和直譯加解釋的翻譯策略。這不僅為以后的性別社會類書籍的翻譯提供了參考價值,還提高了自身翻譯理論和實踐的運(yùn)用能力,得出了寶貴的經(jīng)驗:翻譯專業(yè)類書籍要了解相關(guān)專業(yè)背景知識;要改善英語和漢語的表達(dá)能力;多熟悉翻譯理論并將其與實踐相結(jié)合。
[Abstract]:There are two reasons for choosing the book, "gender Society". One is that this book has great influence in American society and involves research on all levels of gender society. It talks in great detail about the physical and psychological differences of different genders. This paper analyzes the phenomena and causes of gender inequality and the consequences of gender inequality, which is reasonable, readable and enlightening. It not only provides the reference value of theoretical and practical experience in the field of Chinese sociology, but also helps people to understand the gender difference, gender equality and the popularization of related scientific knowledge. Conveying the concept of gender equality advocated by the author is conducive to harmony between men and women, thus promoting social harmony. Second, although the book is the fourth edition, influential, but not translated into Chinese. If the book can be translated into Chinese and read by Chinese sociology majors and teachers, it will help broaden their horizons and learn new theories and methods. Due to the fact that this book is a scientific text with a large amount of information and a lot of sociological knowledge, there are many technical terms and long difficult sentences, as well as long discourses, so it is difficult to translate. The readers of this book are mainly students and teachers majoring in sociology. The purpose of translation should be "faithful and smooth", on the basis of conveying the original information, the reader should understand the meaning of it. The theory consistent with this purpose is the functional teleology. The three major principles of Skopos theory are the principle of faithfulness, the principle of coherence and the principle of Skopos, which require the translation to have an overall consideration of the form and content of the original text, so as to make the translation coherent and to achieve the purpose of readers' understanding. This plays an important guiding role in translation practice. This paper analyzes the cases in translation practice from the lexical, syntactic, textual and cultural aspects, and applies some translation strategies and techniques such as lexical meaning selection, word meaning extension, incremental translation, and saving translation techniques. At the sentence level, translation techniques are used, such as changing order, dividing translation, and transitioning. The textual level achieves logical coherence by adding cohesive words, while the cultural level uses translation strategies of interpretation and literal translation plus explanation. This not only provides reference value for the translation of gender and social books in the future, but also improves the application ability of their own translation theory and practice, and draws valuable experience: the translation specialized books should know the relevant professional background knowledge; To improve the expressive ability of English and Chinese, be familiar with translation theory and combine it with practice.
