【摘要】：本文為一篇有關地情文本的漢英翻譯實踐報告,翻譯的原文選自《湘潭老城故事》一書。該書為《湘潭文史資料》第18輯,是政協(xié)湘潭市委員會文史資料委員會長期以來為搶救湘潭歷史文化遺產(chǎn)的一項重要項目,對于湘潭文化遺產(chǎn)的延續(xù)與弘揚產(chǎn)生了深遠的影響。該書系統(tǒng)通俗、簡明扼要地反映了湘潭的歷史面貌,其最終目標是為了“存史、資政、團結(jié)、育人”。選文共一萬余字,詳盡介紹了湘潭的歷史沿革、名勝古跡和文化淵源。筆者希望通過本次翻譯實踐項目和翻譯實踐報告,幫助旅居湘潭的外國友人了解這座歷史文化底蘊深厚的古城,同時也期望能為湘潭地區(qū)旅游業(yè)的國際化發(fā)展做出貢獻。本文以功能主義目的論為指導原則,旨在探討翻譯地情文本的可行性方法。在目的論中,忠實原則要求譯文不損耗原文基本大意,但不是指逐詞逐句地直譯原文內(nèi)容,其忠實程度受譯文的目的和譯者主體性的影響。本文屬于地情文本,文本的信息功能突出,主要面向?qū)ο嫣稓v史文化感興趣的外國讀者。具有宣傳性和交際性。因此,如何將原文的歷史文化信息準確地傳遞到譯文中,體現(xiàn)原文的信息功能是譯文的主要目的。由于文化背景、意識形態(tài)的不同,外國讀者對中國文化習俗和歷史常識知之甚少,如果將具有文化特色的信息“愚忠”地直譯過去,恐怕對方難以理解。為了減少目的語讀者的閱讀障礙、增強譯文的可讀性,筆者在忠實原則的基礎上,對原文進行了簡化和改寫,運用了編譯的翻譯方法。本次翻譯實踐以《湘潭老城故事》的翻譯實踐項目為例,通過初步分析地情文本的文本類型及其語言特點,從詞匯、句子和篇章層面探索了地情文本的翻譯方法,并歸納總結(jié)出可供此類文本采用的意譯、音譯加注、轉(zhuǎn)換、增譯、合并等翻譯方法。希望為地情翻譯實踐提供可供借鑒的范例。
[Abstract]:This paper is a Chinese-English translation report on the situation of the earth. The original text of the translation is from the Story of Xiangtan Old City. The book is the 18th series of Xiangtan Literature and History. It is an important project of the Xiangtan Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's political Consultative Conference for a long time to save Xiangtan's historical and cultural heritage, which has a profound influence on the continuation and promotion of Xiangtan's cultural heritage. The book is a popular, concise reflection of Xiangtan's history, and its ultimate goal is to "keep history, be senior, unite and educate people". Selected a total of more than 10,000 words, detailed introduction Xiangtan historical history, historical sites and cultural origins. Through this translation practice project and translation practice report, the author hopes to help foreign friends living in Xiangtan understand this ancient city with profound historical and cultural heritage, and at the same time, hope to contribute to the internationalization of tourism in Xiangtan. Based on the functionalist Skopos theory, this paper aims to explore the feasibility of translating Chinese texts. In Skopos theory, the principle of faithfulness requires that the target text should not lose the basic general idea of the original text, but does not refer to the literal translation of the original text word by word. Its fidelity is influenced by the purpose of the translation and the subjectivity of the translator. This text belongs to the text of earth feeling, the information function of the text is outstanding, mainly for the foreign readers who are interested in Xiangtan history and culture. With propaganda and communication. Therefore, how to accurately transfer the historical and cultural information of the original text to the target text and embody the information function of the original text is the main purpose of the translation. Due to different cultural backgrounds and different ideologies, foreign readers know very little about Chinese cultural customs and historical common sense. In order to reduce the reading barrier of the target language readers and enhance the readability of the target text, the author simplifies and rewrites the original text on the basis of the principle of faithfulness, and applies the translation method of translation. Taking the translation practice project of Xiangtan Old City Story as an example, this paper analyzes the text types and language characteristics of the text, and explores the translation methods of the text at the lexical, sentence and textual levels. Some translation methods, such as free translation, transliteration annotation, conversion, translation, combination and so on, are summarized. It is hoped that this paper will provide an example for reference in the practice of local situation translation.
