《讓我與你們同行》(節(jié)選)英漢翻譯的反思性研究報(bào)告

【摘要】:本文是針對小說《讓我與你們同行》前四個(gè)章節(jié)的翻譯而撰寫的翻譯反思性研究報(bào)告。小說是美國作家凱瑟琳·瑞恩·海德撰寫的一部敘事小說,這部小說以簡單的語言進(jìn)行富有哲理性的說明。小說以失去兒子的高中老師奧古斯特為主人公,講述他在一個(gè)夏天開車去黃石公園旅游,路途中因修車邂逅單親父親韋斯,并受其委托帶著他的兩個(gè)孩子賽斯和亨利一起去旅游,講述了他們在旅途中的經(jīng)歷,從而建立起不是父子勝似父子的感情的故事。該研究報(bào)告主要是對節(jié)選部分的譯文及在翻譯過程中遇到的問題進(jìn)行分析。分別對翻譯任務(wù)的背景及意義、主要內(nèi)容和詞匯特點(diǎn)進(jìn)行分析。翻譯是一個(gè)復(fù)雜的過程,包括譯前的準(zhǔn)備工作、翻譯過程和譯后校改。在翻譯中筆者會不可避免地遇到許多問題,例如原文中涉及到的代詞“it”的頻繁使用、動詞的恰當(dāng)表達(dá)、介詞翻譯時(shí)的詞性轉(zhuǎn)換和狀語從句的語序問題,遇到翻譯問題必須依據(jù)相應(yīng)的理論與技巧來解決問題。在實(shí)踐報(bào)告中,筆者選取了代詞回指法、詞義選擇法、詞性轉(zhuǎn)化法和換序法等理論去解決翻譯問題。在解決問題的過程中,筆者意識到只有翻譯理論與翻譯實(shí)踐相結(jié)合,才能獲得更好的翻譯作品。在對問題及解決辦法進(jìn)行分析后,筆者在反思過程中總結(jié)這次翻譯實(shí)踐的收獲、不足和還需改進(jìn)的地方,希望本研究能對以后此類文本的翻譯有所幫助。
[Abstract]:This paper is a reflective study of the translation of the first four chapters of the novel Let me go with you. The novel is a narrative novel written by American writer Catherine Ryan Hyde, which is philosophically illustrated in simple language. The novel takes Auguste, a high school teacher who lost his son, as the protagonist, telling him about driving to Yellowstone one summer and meeting his single father, Wes, during a car repair trip. He was commissioned to travel with his two children Seth and Henry to tell the story of their journey and build a relationship that was no better than a father and son. The research report mainly analyzes the translation of excerpts and the problems encountered in the process of translation. The background and meaning, main content and lexical characteristics of translation task are analyzed. Translation is a complicated process, including pre-translation preparation, translation process and post-translation revision. In translation, the author will inevitably encounter many problems, such as the frequent use of pronoun "it" in the original text, the proper expression of verbs, the conversion of parts of speech in the translation of prepositions and the word order of adverbial clauses. Translation problems must be solved according to the corresponding theories and techniques. In the practice report, the author chooses pronoun anaphora, word meaning selection, part of speech conversion and order exchange to solve translation problems. In the process of solving the problem, the author realizes that only by combining translation theory with translation practice, can we obtain better translation works. After analyzing the problems and solutions, the author summarizes the achievements of this translation practice in the process of reflection, the shortcomings and the areas that need to be improved. It is hoped that this study will be helpful to the translation of such texts in the future.
