莎士比亞喜劇《溫莎的風(fēng)流娘們》對(duì)話中不禮貌現(xiàn)象的語用文體研究

【摘要】:威廉·莎士比亞的喜劇作品有著珍貴的文學(xué)價(jià)值與語言學(xué)意義,因此眾多學(xué)者對(duì)莎翁作品非常重視、興趣深厚。然而近些年針對(duì)莎士比亞戲劇的研究主要集中在文學(xué)層面,鮮少有學(xué)者從語言學(xué)的視角進(jìn)行剖析。即使有少量研究也都頗具局限性。基于戲劇對(duì)話闡述禮貌語言功能的研究不勝枚舉,然而少有從戲劇對(duì)話角度對(duì)不禮貌語言的功能進(jìn)行研究。因此造成了禮貌研究與不禮貌研究的嚴(yán)重失衡。此論文基于Bousfield的不禮貌模型深入分析威廉·莎士比亞的喜劇--《溫莎的風(fēng)流娘們》里人物對(duì)話中的不禮貌現(xiàn)象,從而闡釋其帶來的語用文體功能。此研究致力于從語言學(xué)視角來解讀一個(gè)條理清晰且語言豐富的文學(xué)作品。即使有部分文章或作品從理論層面引入了Bousfield的不禮貌模型,此模型還是鮮少被深入應(yīng)用于莎士比亞喜劇作品的分析。從語言學(xué)視角出發(fā)的不禮貌研究致力于采用此模型來賞析文學(xué)作品,能夠帶來對(duì)文學(xué)作品更精確的解讀以及對(duì)語言的功能有更清楚的認(rèn)知。在Bousfield的不禮貌框架下的本研究主要發(fā)現(xiàn)如下:(1)不同性格及權(quán)勢(shì)的說話人采取不同的不禮貌策略,并且不同的沖突就是通過這些不同的不禮貌策略反映出來;(2)說話者可以采取不同的直接不禮貌策略、間接不禮貌策略,抑或是單獨(dú)使用一種或者多種結(jié)合來實(shí)現(xiàn)面子威脅效應(yīng);(3)本研究發(fā)現(xiàn)Bousfield的不禮貌模型在三個(gè)維度具有強(qiáng)大解釋力,例如話語層面、語篇層面以及話輪轉(zhuǎn)換體系;(4)本研究展示了不禮貌和不禮貌策略在《溫莎的風(fēng)流娘們》中的三個(gè)主要語用文體功能,例如塑造角色并暗示人際關(guān)系、制造沖突并推動(dòng)情節(jié)發(fā)展以及帶來幽默效果。該研究兼具理論意義與實(shí)際意義。從理論角度來看,該研究不是對(duì)Bousfield的不禮貌模型的簡(jiǎn)單羅列,而是基此觀點(diǎn)細(xì)致分析了文本中所出現(xiàn)的各種不禮貌現(xiàn)象,并且將不禮貌研究從微觀的單句層面拓展至宏觀語篇甚至話輪體系中,這較之之前的不禮貌研究有了創(chuàng)新之處。從實(shí)踐角度,本研究為戲劇對(duì)話的賞析提供了一個(gè)新的視角,而且還有利于更好地理解日常交際中的不禮貌現(xiàn)象,這樣才能有效處理沖突,創(chuàng)造和諧的人際關(guān)系。
[Abstract]:William Shakespeare's comedy works have precious literary value and linguistic significance, so many scholars attach great importance to Shakespeare's works and have deep interest in them. However, in recent years, the research on Shakespeare's plays is mainly on the literary level, and few scholars analyze it from the perspective of linguistics. Even a small amount of research is limited. There are too many studies on the function of politeness language based on drama dialogue, but there are few researches on the function of impolite language from the angle of drama dialogue. As a result, there is a serious imbalance between politeness research and impoliteness research. Based on Bousfield's model of impoliteness, this paper makes a thorough analysis of the impoliteness phenomenon in the character dialogue in William Shakespeare's comedy "Windsor's Showtime", so as to explain its pragmatic stylistic functions. This study aims to interpret a coherent and linguistically rich literary work from a linguistic perspective. Even though some articles or works have introduced Bousfield's model of impoliteness from the theoretical level, this model has rarely been deeply applied to the analysis of Shakespeare's comedy works. The study of impoliteness from a linguistic perspective aims at using this model to appreciate literary works, which can lead to a more accurate interpretation of literary works and a clearer understanding of the functions of language. Under the framework of Bousfield's impoliteness, the main findings of this study are as follows: (1) different personalities and powerful speakers adopt different impoliteness strategies. And different conflicts are reflected by these different impoliteness strategies) the speaker can adopt different direct impoliteness strategies and indirect impoliteness strategies. The present study finds that Bousfield's impoliteness model has strong explanatory power in three dimensions, such as discourse level. The present study demonstrates the three main pragmatic stylistic functions of impoliteness and impoliteness strategies in Windsor's Winsonian, such as portraying roles and implying interpersonal relationships. Creates conflict and promotes plot development and humor. This study has both theoretical and practical significance. From a theoretical point of view, this study is not a simple list of Bousfield's impoliteness model, but a detailed analysis of all kinds of impoliteness phenomena in the text. Furthermore, the study of impoliteness is extended from the micro level of single sentence to the macro discourse and even the system of turn, which is more innovative than the previous study of impoliteness. From a practical point of view, this study provides a new perspective for the appreciation of drama dialogue, and is also conducive to a better understanding of the phenomenon of impoliteness in daily communication, so as to effectively deal with conflicts and create harmonious interpersonal relationships.
