《圖像理論》核心術(shù)語ekphrasis漢譯探究

【摘要】:西方視覺文化研究領(lǐng)軍人物米歇爾所著的《圖像理論》是有關(guān)現(xiàn)代西方美術(shù)理論的扛鼎之作,已對國內(nèi)的圖像理論研究產(chǎn)生了一定的影響。我們以其核心術(shù)語ekphrasis為例,從詞源學(xué)著手,考察當(dāng)今國內(nèi)學(xué)界林林總總的漢譯情形,分析ekphrasis不同譯名的原因,結(jié)合源語語境、術(shù)語意識、譯語選擇等方面探究了西方重要美術(shù)論著的術(shù)語漢譯問題。我們認(rèn)為,譯者是翻譯實(shí)踐的主體,面對學(xué)術(shù)性著述,一定要有術(shù)語意識,努力將西方術(shù)語轉(zhuǎn)換成關(guān)聯(lián)度較大、符合專業(yè)理據(jù)內(nèi)涵、匹配度較高的漢語譯名。
[Abstract]:"Image Theory", written by Michele, a leading figure in the study of western visual culture, is a masterpiece of modern western art theory, which has exerted a certain influence on the study of image theory in China. Taking the core term ekphrasis as an example, from the perspective of etymology, we investigate the Chinese translation of ekphrasis, analyze the reasons for the different translation of ekphrasis, combine the context of the source language and the sense of terminology. This paper probes into the translation of terms in important works of art in the West from the aspects of choice of target language. We believe that the translator is the main body of translation practice. In the face of academic writings, we must have a sense of terminology and strive to convert western terms into Chinese names with a high degree of relevance, which is in line with the connotation of professional motivation and has a high degree of matching.
