【摘要】：《紅樓夢》迄今共有三種英文全譯本,公開出版者有霍克思、閔福德合譯的The Story of the Stone,楊憲益、戴乃迭合譯的A Dream of Red Mansions;另有邦斯爾神父(又譯彭壽)獨譯的Red Chamber Dream,雖未成書出版,卻已由香港大學圖書館制作成電子版,供讀者免費在線閱讀。三種全譯本的底本選擇各有差異,此前也不乏研究者做出考證;本文擬從具體的中英文文本對照分析出發(fā),進一步考察底本差異及譯者的相關處理,分析譯者在底本選擇與譯文處理中體現(xiàn)出的文化理念,尤其是楊譯本中彰顯的對于中國傳統(tǒng)文化內(nèi)涵的堅守及其折射出的文化自信。
[Abstract]:So far, there are three full English translations of the Dream of the Red Mansions, published by Hawkes, The Story of the Stone, Yang Xianyi. Dream of Red Mansions; There is also Father Bonsall's only translation of Red Chamber Dream.Although it has not been published in a book, it has been produced in electronic form by the Library of the University of Hong Kong. For readers to read free online. The three versions of the original selection is different, before also many researchers to make textual research; Based on the contrastive analysis of the Chinese and English texts, this paper further examines the differences between the original text and the translator's relevant treatment, and analyzes the cultural concepts embodied by the translator in the selection of the original text and the processing of the target text. In particular, Yang's translation shows his adherence to the connotation of Chinese traditional culture and his cultural confidence.
