學(xué)術(shù)專著是一種表述作者研究成果的作品,其發(fā)表和翻譯能幫助其他學(xué)者了解某領(lǐng)域的研究動(dòng)態(tài),推動(dòng)該領(lǐng)域研究者的思想碰撞,在整個(gè)學(xué)術(shù)界的交流與進(jìn)步中扮演著至關(guān)重要重要的角色。學(xué)術(shù)專著翻譯是學(xué)術(shù)成果跨國(guó)界傳播與共享的必由之路,對(duì)學(xué)術(shù)專著翻譯的研究是提高學(xué)術(shù)交流效率與質(zhì)量的有效途徑。Cultural Stusdies and Discourse Analysis一書出版于2001年,是本報(bào)告節(jié)選的翻譯實(shí)踐材料。翻譯實(shí)踐由作者導(dǎo)師提供,并在導(dǎo)師指導(dǎo)下完成。本報(bào)告的指導(dǎo)理論為翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換理論,由英國(guó)翻譯理論家約翰·卡特福德（J.C.Catford）所提出,并結(jié)合翻譯實(shí)踐中遇到的重難點(diǎn)來進(jìn)行分析,探討翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換理論在具體語(yǔ)境下的應(yīng)用效果,并且總結(jié)了翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換理論對(duì)學(xué)術(shù)專著漢譯的指導(dǎo)意義。鑒于國(guó)內(nèi)之前罕有對(duì)翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換理論在學(xué)術(shù)專著翻譯中的應(yīng)用研究,本報(bào)告具有一定創(chuàng)新性,希望能對(duì)今后學(xué)術(shù)專著的英漢翻譯研究提供啟發(fā)。誠(chéng)然,囿于筆者水平有限,本翻譯報(bào)告和翻譯實(shí)踐材料中仍存在很多不足,也有部分細(xì)節(jié)之處有待今后進(jìn)一步完善。
