  對(duì)某些人而言,心靈不僅是單一或簡(jiǎn)單的能力。它是許多能力和認(rèn)知能力復(fù)雜的結(jié)合,而這種認(rèn)知能力指的是意識(shí)、知覺(jué)、思維、判斷和記憶心身問(wèn)題是一個(gè)古老的辯題,伴隨著新的理解和看法,它不斷地在發(fā)展。在當(dāng)代的心靈哲學(xué)中,核心或者主要問(wèn)題不應(yīng)再是心靈是否不同于身體。相反,哲學(xué)家應(yīng)該更專(zhuān)注于交互作用論(心靈與身體如何相互影響)。在這種邏輯中,一些思想家把心靈看作是內(nèi)在的環(huán)境,即心理內(nèi)容不能直接由第三人稱獲得。這一立場(chǎng)遭到了那些不把心——身區(qū)別看作是內(nèi)外東西區(qū)別的人的拒絕。古老的亞里士多德主義的看法將心靈局限于智力,他們根據(jù)智力將人類(lèi)和愚蠢的動(dòng)物區(qū)分開(kāi)來(lái)。當(dāng)今身心問(wèn)題領(lǐng)域的研究已經(jīng)成為一種不一致的三和弦。因?yàn)橹饕呐d趣點(diǎn)一直在變化。中心問(wèn)題從心身差異變到了心身如何相互關(guān)聯(lián)。從這個(gè)角度來(lái)說(shuō),心理狀態(tài)被描述為在因果上與物理事件和狀態(tài)以及其它心理事件和狀態(tài)相互作用。另一方面,物理的東西被認(rèn)為是因果關(guān)系封閉的系統(tǒng),從這樣的層面上來(lái)說(shuō),即它為完全可用物理學(xué)的語(yǔ)言描述的事件提供了因果解釋。首先,我們要注意到有不同的關(guān)于心靈的看法。心靈是人類(lèi)的推理和思考能力,這意味著心靈是一個(gè)非物理的領(lǐng)域。今天,物理的實(shí)體和非物理的...
