君師權(quán)力的崛起:朱元璋與明初太學(xué)空間重構(gòu)

【摘要】:明初“君師合一”歷程塑造了一種皇權(quán)新形態(tài)——君師權(quán)力。以往的研究一般從思想史與政治史的宏大視角進行,缺乏深入細(xì)節(jié)的微觀分析。本研究旨在另辟蹊徑,立足朱元璋規(guī)劃與設(shè)計的南雍建筑,從微觀空間史視角追溯、探討并澄清明初“君師權(quán)力崛起”的歷史真相與詳情。這項個案研究的理論、方法與路徑,包含密切關(guān)聯(lián)的三個要點:1、“彝倫秩序”與皇權(quán)正當(dāng)性的塑造。明初“君師權(quán)力的崛起”發(fā)生于儒家政治文化傳統(tǒng)中,集中折射了皇權(quán)正當(dāng)性塑造方式的嬗變。儒家“圣王精神”植根于天人之際的超越意識,以建構(gòu)“彝倫秩序”為最高目標(biāo),并表現(xiàn)為“天人相應(yīng)”與“天人合一”兩種正當(dāng)性形式。朱元璋通過將兩種正當(dāng)性方式結(jié)合起來,實現(xiàn)了皇權(quán)正當(dāng)性的新型塑造方式。2、太學(xué)空間結(jié)構(gòu)與彝倫秩序的“表征關(guān)系”。借鑒空間生產(chǎn)、文化研究與社會學(xué)的理論與方法,提出“敘位機制”概念分析太學(xué)空間結(jié)構(gòu)與皇權(quán)正當(dāng)性塑造的內(nèi)在聯(lián)系。這一概念的基本內(nèi)涵如下:一方面,太學(xué)空間層面的“位”與社會關(guān)系層面的“倫”存在“表征關(guān)系”,使得太學(xué)空間結(jié)構(gòu)成為表征“彝倫秩序”的意識形態(tài)符號;另一方面,受到這種符號制約的不同個體,又能在實踐中理解、領(lǐng)會、認(rèn)同并遵循“彝倫秩序”內(nèi)在的行為邏輯。基于“敘位機制”,太學(xué)空間結(jié)構(gòu)成為塑造皇權(quán)正當(dāng)性的重要權(quán)力媒介。3、明初太學(xué)空間重構(gòu)與君師權(quán)力的構(gòu)形。借鑒空間政治學(xué)的空間矛盾分析法,具體剖析了“齋”與“堂”的空間矛盾。作為表征“彝倫秩序”的兩種神圣“原型空間”,“齋”與“堂”的空間矛盾密切關(guān)聯(lián)著明初皇權(quán)對“符號權(quán)力元資本”的控制、爭奪與壟斷。朱元璋正是利用這一空間矛盾,發(fā)起了塑造朱明皇權(quán)正當(dāng)性的太學(xué)空間政治運動,這使得明初皇權(quán)“壟斷了具有合法性的符號權(quán)力”,由此誕生了作為“符號權(quán)力元資本”的君師權(quán)力;谏鲜鲆c,本研究依次探討了構(gòu)成敘述框架的四個“子問題”:1、“明初太學(xué)空間重構(gòu)”的基本內(nèi)涵。在明初官學(xué)大復(fù)興語境中,勾勒三座太學(xué)的營建歷程。通過對明初三座太學(xué)建筑史料進行文獻分析,澄清明初太學(xué)空間發(fā)生的三項歷史性變化:改孔廟塑像為木主;彝倫堂“御座正位”的誕生;從“六齋”到“六堂”的空間嬗變。2、朱元璋成為“道統(tǒng)承續(xù)者”的歷史真相。引出宋濂“天子立學(xué)之法”及其論爭,并以貝瓊對宋濂的駁斥為切入點,論述這場論爭的焦點問題是孔子圣師地位;在道統(tǒng)與治統(tǒng)的思想史框架中,探尋宋濂的折衷立場;剖析朱元璋“再編道統(tǒng)”的目的是為明初“君師合一”提供合法性論證。3、朱元璋“位居君師”的具體表現(xiàn)。從政教體制“深層結(jié)構(gòu)”視角,進一步分析明初“再編道統(tǒng)”的可能性與可行性;進而分析朱元璋對“以道抗勢”士大夫的打壓,并從“納師儒入官僚”與“懲罰性學(xué)規(guī)”等視角,論述明初“君師合一”統(tǒng)治策略的主要表現(xiàn)。4、君師權(quán)力在南雍空間結(jié)構(gòu)中的銘刻與表達(dá)。返歸明初太學(xué)空間重構(gòu)問題,立足“木主與孔子神圣性的表達(dá)”、“作為皇極之象的御座正位”以及“由齋到堂的空間重構(gòu)”等三個主題,剖析朱元璋如何通過“敘位機制”將“君師權(quán)力”銘刻于南雍空間結(jié)構(gòu)中,從而實現(xiàn)其再生產(chǎn)。經(jīng)過四個“子問題”的分析,本研究提出如下基本結(jié)論:1、作為一種微觀空間史現(xiàn)象,南雍建筑的誕生是明初政教關(guān)系結(jié)構(gòu)性調(diào)整的空間史信號,是明太祖朱元璋主導(dǎo)的一場太學(xué)空間政治運動,旨在將“君師合一”的新型權(quán)力關(guān)系與支配方式——“君師權(quán)力”——銘刻于太學(xué)空間中,由此造成明初太學(xué)空間重構(gòu)及其物態(tài)化的空間產(chǎn)品——南雍建筑。2、明太祖朱元璋開啟了明清帝王建構(gòu)自身“君師形象”從而塑造“皇權(quán)正當(dāng)性”的先河與傳統(tǒng)。作為一種壟斷了正當(dāng)性資源的“皇權(quán)新形態(tài)”,君師權(quán)力或許是明清皇權(quán)與宋元皇權(quán)的根本區(qū)別,不但極度強化了明清帝王的“文化與教育霸權(quán)”,而且深刻影響了明清中國的歷史進程。
