多元文化背景下“和而不同”思想及其當(dāng)代價值

【摘要】:在這個文化與經(jīng)濟早已密不可分的時代里,文化本身就是一種市場,而且是一種可以帶來高額利潤的消費市場,作為價值觀載體的各文化之間因交流而產(chǎn)生的沖突,其實質(zhì)是由于價值觀念的差異導(dǎo)致沖突的具體體現(xiàn)。在多元文化背景的驅(qū)使之下,必然會改變地球上不同民族及文化背景的人們,不同文化之間因加劇交流所發(fā)生的碰撞和沖突,在世界范圍內(nèi)形成了復(fù)雜且矛盾的文化發(fā)展態(tài)勢,究竟該如何平衡各民族文化間的關(guān)系,使各民族的文化進入一個開放和交融的新的發(fā)展時代成為世界性難題。 西方“多元文化主義”理論自二十世紀90年代流行至今,有不少學(xué)者圍繞著多元文化主義問題展開了研討,一時之間涌現(xiàn)了大量的學(xué)術(shù)作品,并對中國思想界和學(xué)術(shù)界產(chǎn)生了一定的影響。不得不說,西方的多元文化主義思想與中國的“和而不同”精神較為接近,也都在解決多元文化共存的問題上有積極意義。然而這兩種思想在文化背景上相差很大,西方“多元文化主義”堅持了西方傳統(tǒng)的先“分”而后“合”的思路,它是建立在各民族群體的文化個性與權(quán)利的基礎(chǔ)之上,適應(yīng)了西方社會的文化現(xiàn)實,卻并不一定適用于其他國家。 中國文化發(fā)展的特點就是在歷史過程中逐漸形成了自己“多元一體”的獨特文化格局。從我國的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人到國內(nèi)外政治、哲學(xué)等領(lǐng)域的專家學(xué)者,都對中國文化中“和而不同”的傳統(tǒng)思想及其當(dāng)代價值進行了大量的探討和研究。我國提出的關(guān)于構(gòu)建“和諧社會”、“和諧世界”的發(fā)展理想,,標志了中國在國家建設(shè)、社會發(fā)展及對外關(guān)系等方面一直都秉承著“和而不同”的思想和文化理念。 本文立足于現(xiàn)實,通過對多元文化的背景分析厘清相關(guān)概念,并對“和而不同”思想內(nèi)涵及其文化地位給予肯定。在對西方“多元文化主義”與“和而不同”的對比中充分肯定了后者的優(yōu)勢,在中西方文化關(guān)于文化多元性問題的不同理解中,肯定了“和而不同”思想的當(dāng)代價值,指出它是可能成為當(dāng)代國際關(guān)系和未來世界秩序穩(wěn)定發(fā)展的理想模式,同時為世界多元文化的和諧發(fā)展提供了可借鑒的可能。
[Abstract]:In an era in which culture and economy have long been inextricably linked, culture is itself a market and a consumer market that can bring high profits. As a carrier of values, there is a conflict between cultures as a result of communication. Its essence is the concrete embodiment of the conflict caused by the difference of values. Driven by the multicultural background, it will inevitably change the people of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds on the earth. The collision and conflict between different cultures due to the intensification of communication has formed a complex and contradictory cultural development situation in the world. How to balance the relationship between the cultures of different nationalities and make the culture of all nationalities enter a new era of opening and blending becomes a difficult problem in the world. Since the popularity of the western theory of "multiculturalism" in the 1990s, many scholars have studied the issue of multiculturalism, and a large number of academic works have emerged. And has produced certain influence to the Chinese thought circle and the academic circle. It has to be said that the western multiculturalism is close to the spirit of "harmony but difference" in China, and both have positive significance in solving the problem of multiculturalism coexistence. However, these two ideas are quite different in the cultural background. Western "multiculturalism" adheres to the idea of "dividing" before "combining" in the western tradition, which is based on the cultural personality and rights of various ethnic groups. Adapted to the cultural reality of Western society, but not necessarily applicable to other countries. The characteristic of Chinese culture development is that it has gradually formed its own unique cultural pattern of "pluralistic integration" in the course of history. From the leaders of our country to the experts and scholars in the fields of politics, philosophy and so on, the traditional thought of "harmony but difference" in Chinese culture and its contemporary value have been discussed and studied extensively. The development ideal of constructing "harmonious society" and "harmonious world" put forward by our country symbolizes that China has been adhering to the idea of "harmony but not difference" in the aspects of national construction, social development and foreign relations. Based on reality, this paper clarifies the relevant concepts through the background analysis of multiculturalism, and affirms the connotation and cultural status of the thought of "harmony but difference". In the comparison between "multiculturalism" and "harmony but difference" in the West, the advantages of the latter are fully affirmed, and the contemporary value of the thought of "harmony but difference" is affirmed in the different understanding of cultural pluralism between Chinese and western cultures. It is pointed out that it may become an ideal model for the stable development of contemporary international relations and the future world order, and it also provides the possibility for the harmonious development of the world's multiculturalism.
