摘要/Abstract本文結(jié)合美國(guó)教育語(yǔ)言學(xué)的學(xué)科發(fā)展以及國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)者對(duì)于教育語(yǔ)言學(xué)學(xué)科概念的界定和建構(gòu),討論教育語(yǔ)言學(xué)的學(xué)科發(fā)展,,其定義、本質(zhì)和研究范圍并探討我國(guó)教育語(yǔ)言學(xué)學(xué)科建設(shè)的問題。
Some scholars introduced the name of "educational linguistics" to refer to foreign language teaching. However, what is educational linguistics, its concept and nature has yet to be agreed upon by Chinese scholars. The term has been misused, confused, and cross-used with other terms in current papers. So what is the research scope of educational linguistics. How does it relate to the other branches of linguistics. Does it belong to linguistics or to education. Based on the author’s personal experience of five years’ study in the doctoral program of educational linguistics at University of Pennsylvania, the US, this paper attempts to find answers to these questions by tracing the historical development of educational linguistics as a field and clarifying its definition, nature, and scope. Implications to the interdisciplinary program development between linguistics and education in China are offered in the end.
