關(guān)于新二代華裔學業(yè)成功影響因素的探索性研究

【摘要】:進入21世紀,美國作為多民族國家,各族裔人口比重繼續(xù)不斷變化,從2000年到2010年,亞裔人口增長最快,占人口增長比例的43.3%。華裔是亞裔美國人最主要的組成部分,華裔學生以學業(yè)優(yōu)秀而著稱。在美國標準學業(yè)測試和全國性學科競賽中,華裔獲獎比例遠遠超過其在全國人口中的比例。關(guān)于華裔學業(yè)表現(xiàn)的研究主要集中在20世紀八九十年代,但是大多數(shù)研究者從文化資本理論或社會結(jié)構(gòu)理論出發(fā)研究問題。華裔學者周敏從分層同化理論出發(fā),把孤立的文化資本理論和社會結(jié)構(gòu)理論結(jié)合起來,綜合分析新華裔二代在學業(yè)方面的成功因素。筆者在周敏研究基礎上又提出華裔學生學業(yè)上的成功除了家庭和族裔的影響之外,,日益有利的教育社會大背景也促進了華裔學生學業(yè)上的成功。 論文首先從時間上界定新華裔二代,并比較新老華裔二代的不同之處,這種不同之處使本文的研究有了可能性。隨后作者分析闡述了新華裔二代所處的有利家庭和族裔環(huán)境,這種有利環(huán)境促成了新華裔二代學業(yè)成功的內(nèi)在因素。最后,本文又通過分析新華裔二代所受教育的社會大背景,說明了日益公平的教育社會大背景也促成了華裔學業(yè)的成功,并且作者更進一步指出華裔教育成功背后所面臨的教育問題,這些存在的問題仍需要進一步的努力解決。 通過本文的寫作,筆者分析了新華裔二代所處的教育背景,通過對華裔特殊家庭環(huán)境,族裔環(huán)境和美國教育大背景的分析,試圖找出促成新華裔二代學業(yè)成功的因素。希望通過對這些學業(yè)促成因素的分析,能給華裔父母在子女的教育方面帶來啟示,給現(xiàn)階段中國教育帶來一點思考。
[Abstract]:In 21th century, as a multi-ethnic country, the proportion of people of all ethnic groups in the United States continues to change. From 2000 to 2010, the Asian population grew fastest, accounting for 43.3 percent of the population growth. Chinese Americans are the most important component of Asian-Americans. Chinese students are known for their academic excellence. In American standard academic tests and national disciplinary competitions, The proportion of Chinese-Americans winning prizes far exceeds their share in the national population. Studies on the academic performance of ethnic Chinese were concentrated in the 1980s and 1990s in 20th century. However, most researchers study problems from the perspective of cultural capital theory or social structure theory. Zhou Min, a Chinese scholar, combines the isolated theory of cultural capital with the theory of social structure from the perspective of stratified assimilation. On the basis of Zhou Min's research, the author points out that the academic success of Chinese students is not only the influence of family and ethnicity, but also the influence of family and ethnicity. The increasingly favorable educational and social background also promotes the academic success of Chinese-American students. Firstly, the paper defines the second generation of new Chinese in time, and compares the differences between the old and the new. This difference makes the study possible. Then the author analyzes and expounds the favorable family and ethnic environment of the second generation. This kind of favorable environment has contributed to the internal factors of the academic success of the second generation of Chinese New Chinese. Finally, by analyzing the social background of the education received by the second generation of the new Chinese, this paper shows that the increasingly fair social background of education also contributes to the success of Chinese studies. Furthermore, the author points out the educational problems behind the success of Chinese education, and these problems still need to be solved. Through the writing of this paper, the author analyzes the educational background of the second generation of New Chinese, and analyzes the special family environment, ethnic environment and American educational background. This paper tries to find out the factors that contribute to the academic success of the second generation of Chinese New Chinese and hopes that the analysis of these factors can enlighten Chinese parents in the education of their children and bring some thoughts to the present Chinese education.
