皮細(xì)胞從靜止?fàn)顟B(tài)變成具有遷移能力的頂細(xì)胞(tipcell)，同時(shí)激活間質(zhì)金屬蛋白酶(matrixmetalloproteinase，MMP2或MMP9)降解血管外基質(zhì)，幫助頂細(xì)胞向周圍擴(kuò)增和遷移形成柱狀絲狀偽足，并逐步形成血管腔(lumen)。最后，周細(xì)胞(pericytecell，PC)和血管平滑肌細(xì)胞(vascularsmoothmusclecell，SMC)等支持細(xì)胞(muralcell)環(huán)繞在內(nèi)皮細(xì)胞周圍形成完整的新生血管(圖2)。
