[Abstract]:China is located between the two major seismic zones of the world (the Pacific Rim seismic belt and the Eurasian earthquake). Since the 20th century, nearly 800 earthquakes of magnitude 6 or above have occurred in China, with the exception of Guizhou, with high frequency of earthquake activity, high intensity, shallow earthquake source, and wide distribution since the 20th century. Zhejiang Province and all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government except the Hong Kong Special Administrative region.
