《收藏家》中的自我觀

約翰·福爾斯是英國當(dāng)代著名的小說家,人們對其代表作《法國中尉的女人》進(jìn)行了廣泛而深入的研究。對于他的處女作《收藏家》(又譯《捕蝶者》)相對研究的人要遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)少于其代表作,而且研究者對于《收藏家》的研究大多是從心理分析,形式主義或女性主義的角度進(jìn)行的,很少有學(xué)者從自我尤其是馬克思主義自我觀的角度分析這一作品。自我從人類誕生之初就成為人們討論的主題,也是人類文學(xué)頻繁表現(xiàn)的重要主題。因此研究自我觀在《收藏家》的體現(xiàn)具有重要的現(xiàn)實(shí)意義。 本文通過與運(yùn)用自我觀尤其是馬克思主義自我觀的理論來分析《收藏家》中的男女主人公的性格特點(diǎn)及其自我的變化過程,一方面有助于加深對于原文內(nèi)容的理解,另一方面也揭示了個(gè)體的自我是處于多種社會(huì)關(guān)系的自我,自我的形成和發(fā)展是離不開家庭、階級(jí)和社會(huì)等各方面因素的。另外,作者還從著名心理學(xué)家馬斯洛的自我實(shí)現(xiàn)理論這一獨(dú)特視角來分析探討小說中的悲劇結(jié)局,深化了小說的主題和內(nèi)涵。同時(shí),《收藏家》這部作品也反映了很多與現(xiàn)實(shí)相關(guān)的問題,克萊格的境況反映了戰(zhàn)后英國社會(huì)的不公正、階級(jí)不平等這個(gè)根深蒂固的社會(huì)問題,在小說結(jié)尾時(shí)克萊格的自我?guī)捉鼏适?由此引發(fā)我們對于如何完善自我的思索。因此,《收...
