《黑王子》的敘事學解讀

艾麗絲·默多克(1919--1999)被譽為二戰(zhàn)后英國文學界最多產影響最廣的小說家之一。在四十年的寫作生涯里,她完成了二十六部小說、兩部詩集以及多部戲劇作品,這一切成就都是二十世紀英國文學最重要的組成部分之一。艾麗絲·默多克的小說獲獎無數:1973年出版的《黑王子》獲得詹姆士·泰勒·布萊克紀念獎;1974年出版的《神圣的和褻瀆的愛情機器》獲得惠特布雷德獎;1978年出版的《大海,大!帆@得布克獎。她曾六次獲布克獎提名,為英國當代作家之冠。 本文試圖從敘事學角度來解讀她的代表作——《黑王子》。除了導論和結論以外,本文共分成三個章節(jié)。第一章試圖分析該書的敘事框架。該書一共包括兩個框架:文本內在的框架結構是故事層;外在的框架結構是評論層。第二章試圖分析該書的敘事聲音。這將是本論文的重點所在。利用女性主義敘事學中的集體型敘述聲音來分析書中三個中年婦女在面對不幸婚姻時所做出的不同選擇。第三章試圖分析該書敘述者的性別意識。首先分析默多克總體的藝術觀念和技巧,然后再分析其在本書的男性敘述者中的具體運用。
