狄金森是美國最偉大的詩人之一。雖然所受的教育不多,但她在家里廣泛閱讀。20多歲以后,她就開始過著隱居生活。雖然狄金森呆在家里僅僅是通過書信與外界朋友進(jìn)行聯(lián)系,但是她一生中創(chuàng)作了1775首詩歌,以及許許多多的書信。 狄金森隱居在家里,不斷探索生命和大自然的意義,以及愛情、死亡、靈魂等,她對這些方面的觀點(diǎn)和態(tài)度在她的詩歌中都充分體現(xiàn)出來。本文將選取狄金森詩歌中的敘述文本和描寫文本兩種體裁的詩歌作為語料進(jìn)行分析。敘述性詩歌是告訴讀者發(fā)生了什么事情或者向讀者講述故事；描寫性詩歌是描寫物體或者某些背景。功能語言學(xué)家認(rèn)為,體裁通過體裁結(jié)構(gòu)進(jìn)入文本。體裁結(jié)構(gòu)所扮演的角色就是“語言作為語義更高層次上的投射”的角色(Halliday,1977:193)。因此,本文首先是在體裁層面上分析這兩種體裁的詩歌,揭示它們的體裁結(jié)構(gòu)。 另一方面,我們是要發(fā)掘不同語場詩歌的深層意義。我們根據(jù)不同的語場,把狄金森的詩歌分為死亡主題詩歌,自然主題詩歌和愛情主題詩歌,從而去探索狄金森對死亡、自然和愛情的態(tài)度和看法。根據(jù)Labov的敘述文本結(jié)構(gòu),以及在前面我們已經(jīng)揭示了的各個文本詩歌的體裁結(jié)構(gòu),我們得出,對于敘述性詩歌而言,...
