威爾基·柯林斯的代表作《月亮寶石》被譽為第一部最偉大的英國偵探小說。本篇論文旨在運用西蒙娜·德·波伏娃的存在女性主義理論解讀小說《月亮寶石》中的人物角色,試圖揭示該小說中所體現(xiàn)的女性主義思想。 波伏娃是現(xiàn)代女性主義最重要的代表人物之一。在她的著作《第二性》中,波伏娃以一種存在主義的視角對女性在父權(quán)社會中的處境作了獨到的剖析:“女人不是天生的,而是逐漸形成的! 論文從波伏娃的存在女性主義角度出發(fā),對小說《月亮寶石》中的新女性形象與被顛覆的男性形象做了深入的解讀。一方面,三個具有反叛精神的女性勇于挑戰(zhàn)男性強加給女性的“他者”身份以及壓制女性的父權(quán)制度,力求實現(xiàn)她們的主體性:小說中雷切兒通過挑戰(zhàn)男性權(quán)威、公眾輿論以及壓制女性的行為規(guī)范,來尋找自我;羅贊娜打破了男性占主體地位的求愛傳統(tǒng)、性行為規(guī)范及話語慣例,成為了獨立的個體;露西試圖完全擺脫男性來追求自己本真的存在。另一方面,小說中三個男性被剝奪了傳統(tǒng)男性所具有的優(yōu)越性與主體性,反而淪為了“他者”:戈弗雷虛偽的與被客體化的反傳統(tǒng)紳士形象,削弱了父權(quán)社會中男性的權(quán)威與主體地位;約翰先生在婚姻中的“他者”身份動搖了傳統(tǒng)婚姻制度中男性的主體地位;...
