人際功能視角下《李爾王》中主要情節(jié)人物的權(quán)勢關(guān)系變化

  《李爾王》被20世紀(jì)英國資深的莎學(xué)評論家布拉德利(A.C.Bradley)譽(yù)為莎翁四大悲劇中“最偉大的成就”,該劇深刻的主題和人文思想總能給不同時代的讀者和觀眾以心靈震撼。國內(nèi)外有關(guān)《李爾王》的評論涉獵文學(xué)、宗教、政治、哲學(xué)、舞臺藝術(shù)、語言學(xué)及心理學(xué)等諸多領(lǐng)域;議題廣泛,有從對宗教思想的探索到對女性主義的討論,從政治背景的反思到對人性的拷問等等。本文正是在前人研究的背景下,通過采用描述和解釋相結(jié)合的定性研究方法,以語言學(xué)家韓禮德的系統(tǒng)功能語法中的人際功能為理論依據(jù),從語氣、情態(tài)和呼語三個方面對《李爾王》主要情節(jié)中人物之間的權(quán)勢關(guān)系變化進(jìn)行探析,旨在探討權(quán)勢關(guān)系變化在語言表現(xiàn)形式上的體現(xiàn),并進(jìn)一步揭示悲劇產(chǎn)生的原因。本文按主要情節(jié)的發(fā)展將劇本分為王國“分割前”與“分割后”兩個階段,通過對兩個階段主要人物的話語進(jìn)行具體分析和對比,發(fā)現(xiàn)人際功能框架下語言選擇的反差揭示了李爾與三個女兒間權(quán)勢關(guān)系的變化:王國“分割前”,在語氣分析中,命令和疑問是李爾話語中突出的言語功能,三個女兒都未使用并給予期待的回應(yīng);在情態(tài)分析中,帶有“強(qiáng)制”和“允許”意義的情態(tài)詞未被用于任何女兒的話語中;在呼語的分析中,親...
