無聲的抗爭,不懈的斗士 ——瑪格麗特·阿特伍德筆下符合第三種受害者角色的女主人公

加拿大著名女作家瑪格麗特·阿特伍德的作品致力于創(chuàng)造豐富多彩的女性形象。在她的多數(shù)作品中,女主人公都受到了某些傷害,但她們都不是被動的受害者,相反,她們是積極的反抗者。《浮現(xiàn)》中的女主人公有著很多痛苦經(jīng)歷。但她最終拒絕接受社會和醫(yī)療體制帶給她的各種傷害,積極決定了自己的受孕并生產(chǎn)。小說中,女主人公從被動的受害者轉(zhuǎn)變成了積極的自我主宰者!犊梢猿缘呐恕分械呐魅斯旣惏惨詿o序進食,反常舉動,烤制女人形蛋糕等為武器,進行了積極反抗。最終,她擺脫了被動無為狀態(tài),不再逃避現(xiàn)實并能夠以積極樂觀的態(tài)度面對生活。在《侍女的故事》中,阿特伍德通過描寫女性在吉利德共和國中種種怪異、荒誕的生活場景,隱喻現(xiàn)實社會中女性所遭受的壓迫與不公正待遇。而侍女們各種形式的反抗也充分表現(xiàn)出她們改變自己命運的愿望。阿特伍德同時也是一位文學評論家,她在文學評論專集《生存》一書中將受害者的角色分為四種:一,否認身為受害者的事實,且花很多時間把明顯抑制著的憤怒解釋過去,假裝某些顯著的事實不存在;二,承認身為受害者,但認為這是命中注定無法改變的,是上帝的旨意、生物學的指令,是歷史學、經(jīng)濟學、潛意識或別的普遍存在的強大意識形態(tài)所裁...
