奧威爾和溫斯頓的困境—極權(quán)世界中個(gè)體的抗?fàn)幣c妥協(xié)

出版于1949年的小說《一九八四》被譽(yù)為奧威爾的代表作。在《一九八四》中奧威爾給我們呈現(xiàn)了一個(gè)噩夢般的世界：極權(quán)主義對人性采取了極度野蠻殘酷的壓制。小說警惕世人提防專制統(tǒng)治給人們的正常生活帶來的巨大破壞。奧威爾把與社會不公正、社會壓制和極權(quán)政治作斗爭作為作家的責(zé)任。他對政治的理解絕不僵化,不局限于任何狹隘的主義。他表達(dá)了作為獨(dú)立個(gè)體的內(nèi)心感受而不遵從任何意識形態(tài)和政黨。他用寫作來反對各種形式的極權(quán)政治的主題只有一個(gè)：個(gè)體的困境和他們企圖獲得救贖的悲劇。在小說《一九八四》中,奧威爾創(chuàng)造了溫斯頓這個(gè)人物形象。長期以來,溫斯頓被看作作者自我的投射。他們在與極權(quán)和自身局限的對抗中都經(jīng)歷了抗?fàn)幒屯讌f(xié)。所不同的是,奧威爾最終憑借自己的藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作取得了勝利。這篇論文旨在研究奧威爾在真實(shí)世界和溫斯頓在虛構(gòu)的極權(quán)社會中的困境從而找到出路。這篇論文的創(chuàng)新處有三：一、首次將奧威爾和他創(chuàng)造的一個(gè)人物的生活經(jīng)歷在極權(quán)社會的背景下進(jìn)行比較,試圖揭示他們成功或失敗的原因；二、通過這一對比,去發(fā)現(xiàn)單獨(dú)的個(gè)體在極權(quán)社會中究竟能做什么,能做到什么；三、為探討奧威爾關(guān)于極權(quán)主義的政治意識以及《一九八四》這部小說的創(chuàng)作動(dòng)機(jī)提供...
