作為第一位獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)的美國非裔女性作家,托尼·莫里森一直都在為黑人,特別是黑人女性的悲慘地位呼吁、抗?fàn)�。�?008年的最新小說《仁慈》打破了以往小說關(guān)注種族歧視的模式,更多的是把目光聚焦于不同膚色的人們。小說《仁慈》超越了種族和性別,把關(guān)注集中在蓄奴制下的所有人。在奴隸制的壓制下,人們不僅要承擔(dān)肉體的折磨,還要飽受精神的壓迫。這些人們從小被父母拋棄,被社會(huì)歧視,從而陷入自卑不可自拔。他們也曾試圖擺脫自卑,然而由于缺少阿爾弗雷德·阿德勒稱之為的社會(huì)興趣,他們的努力卻往往徒勞無功,甚至反而使自卑感更加強(qiáng)烈。只有通過發(fā)展社會(huì)興趣,并調(diào)整其自卑心態(tài)向?qū)ι鐣?huì)、對別人有利的方向努力,獲得對自我價(jià)值的成就感,才可以超越自卑。本文利用阿德勒的自卑理論來分析《仁慈》中人物的自卑心理,論述自我成就感的創(chuàng)造在于發(fā)展對別人、對社會(huì)的興趣以及對他人的愛,而不是靠一味地向別人索取愛。除了引言和結(jié)論部分,本文分為三章。引言部分簡單介紹了托尼·莫里森的生活經(jīng)歷,小說《仁慈》和這篇小說的文獻(xiàn)綜述,并簡要介紹了阿爾弗雷德阿德勒的自卑—補(bǔ)償—超越理論。第一章從家庭和社會(huì)環(huán)境兩個(gè)方面分析了自卑感的來源。生活在蓄奴制下的...
