菲茨杰拉德是20世紀(jì)文學(xué)史上最重要的作家之一。他的小說深刻地揭示了美國20世紀(jì)20年代的時代特征,表現(xiàn)了“美國夢”幻滅的主題,因而被譽為“爵士時代”的發(fā)言人。他的小說生動地反映了20年代“美國夢”的破滅,展示了大蕭條時美國上層社會的精神面貌。菲茨杰拉德在1934年創(chuàng)作了《夜色溫柔》這部被視為以浪漫主義手法表現(xiàn)現(xiàn)實主義主題的自傳體小說,《夜色溫柔》以生動犀利的筆觸描繪了主人公戴弗爾·迪克這位風(fēng)度灑脫、氣質(zhì)典雅、前程遠大的精神病醫(yī)生的美國夢追求之路以及最終如何遭遇失敗,變得消沉的故事,折射出了作者菲茨杰拉德本人對美國夢的幻滅的悲劇。本文試圖用拉康的鏡像階段理論和三界論結(jié)合菲茨杰拉德的人生經(jīng)歷對《夜色溫柔》里的人物與社會關(guān)系,尤其是主人公迪克進行分析,并得出其在美國最繁榮爵士時代夢想幻滅的原因。本論文共包含五部分,由緒論、結(jié)論以及中間的三個章節(jié)組成。第一部分是緒論,介紹了作家的生平、主要作品、《夜色溫柔》的背景信息以及小說的研究現(xiàn)狀等。第一章對菲茲杰拉德和《夜色溫柔》的時代背景爵士時代及其那個時代的特點進行深入研究。為了更清楚的探究美國夢,在第一章將會首先簡單介紹美國夢的定義及其內(nèi)涵,美國夢...
