作為短篇小說大師,凱瑟琳·曼斯菲爾德是一位在世界文學(xué)史上不容忽視的天才女作家,更是迄今為止文學(xué)史上唯一一位生活與創(chuàng)作密不可分的作家。她一生都在孤獨(dú)與死亡的威脅下寫作,其中以女性為主題的小說最多,還有大約三分之一的作品是描寫家庭婚姻中男女關(guān)系的,對他們來說,幸福和諧共處很難實(shí)現(xiàn),以刻畫男性形象為主的小說只有有限的幾篇。此篇論文主要運(yùn)用了社會(huì)歷史主義的批評(píng)方法分析了曼斯菲爾德以男性為主角創(chuàng)作的六篇短篇小說以期對其作品主題、思想傾向、以及其作品的社會(huì)效果有一個(gè)全面的了解。論文共分為六個(gè)部分：引言、中間四個(gè)章節(jié)以及結(jié)論。第一章引言部分包括凱瑟琳·曼斯菲爾德的生平與文學(xué)創(chuàng)作,文獻(xiàn)綜述以及社會(huì)歷史主義批評(píng)理論三個(gè)方面。第二章主要介紹了凱瑟琳·曼斯菲爾德這六篇以男性為主角的短篇小說的創(chuàng)作背景,包括社會(huì)歷史背景,思想理論背景以及創(chuàng)作這六篇小說時(shí)的具體情形。第三章通過對凱瑟琳·曼斯菲爾德筆下孤獨(dú)無助的男性人物及扭曲壓抑的環(huán)境氛圍的探析研究,揭示了其作品對當(dāng)時(shí)真實(shí)具體的社會(huì)生活的忠實(shí)反映。這種忠實(shí)反映了一戰(zhàn)后現(xiàn)代社會(huì)人性孤獨(dú)、扭曲的墮落現(xiàn)實(shí)。第四章分析了凱瑟琳·曼斯菲爾德筆下這六篇以男性為主角的短篇小說反...
