《在我彌留之際》是�？思{所著由十五個(gè)講述者的五十九個(gè)內(nèi)心獨(dú)白組成的講述女主人公艾迪生前生后事的小說,故事發(fā)生時(shí)間集中在送艾迪回鄉(xiāng)安葬的幾天當(dāng)中。本篇論文立足于女權(quán)主義角度,從艾迪和家人的關(guān)系,艾迪和其他人物的關(guān)系以及艾迪自己內(nèi)心的矛盾沖突分析了女主人公艾迪作為母親,妻子等角色的性格和心理。本篇論文的目的是通過分析艾迪和其他人物間種種矛盾沖突,揭示了福克納塑造的一個(gè)不同于傳統(tǒng)的頗具反抗精神的美國(guó)南方農(nóng)村女性形象；通過揭示艾迪及小說中諸人物的精神世界和內(nèi)心沖突,說明了新舊制度變革時(shí)期的美國(guó)南方人民的身心煎熬,體現(xiàn)福克納對(duì)南方女性的關(guān)注,揭露和同情,而不是簡(jiǎn)單的反或親女權(quán)主義,以及福克納對(duì)整個(gè)人類現(xiàn)狀—在煎熬—的深思。
