尤金·奧尼爾（Eugene O’Neill,1888-1953）,美國偉大的劇作家,美國現代戲劇的開拓者和嚴肅戲劇的奠基人,他一生當中共四次獲普利策文學獎,并于1936年獲得諾貝爾文學獎,在美國戲劇界唯一獲此殊榮。他的后期力作之一《進入黑夜的漫長旅程》一經上演,就轟動歐美劇壇,被眾多評論家認為是奧尼爾所有作品中最優(yōu)秀的一部,是他悲劇創(chuàng)作的最高成就,歷來為評論家所重視,論述涉及各個角度。本文在綠色生態(tài)批評的指引下,解讀其帶有自傳性的經典劇作《進入黑夜的漫長旅程》,揭示作品中所蘊含的自然生態(tài)、社會生態(tài)、精神生態(tài)意義,挖掘其中的生態(tài)思想和生態(tài)審美意蘊。論文分為五個部分。第一章為引言。主要介紹論文課題來源、國內外研究奧尼爾的現狀和水平,總結分析了從生態(tài)批評角度該劇的前人研究成果,由此引出本論文的研究切入點和創(chuàng)新點。然后簡單介紹生態(tài)批評理論的起源、現狀及其未來的發(fā)展方向,主要呈現它的定義、核心觀點及文中涉及的理論要點。最后是本文的結構。第二章簡介奧尼爾的生平及其劇作《進入黑夜的漫長旅程》中的生態(tài)思想。首先分析他對大自然與生活中的神秘力量的感知；其次是他的藝術追求及其他對戲劇商業(yè)化的批判；最后是他...
