對布萊恩·卡斯特羅《花園書》的福柯式解讀

布萊恩·卡斯特羅是澳大利亞華裔文壇最為卓越和高產(chǎn)的作家之一。他的作品新穎、獨特、有力。他的成名作《侯鳥》一經(jīng)出版便受到來自評論界及普通讀者的廣泛關(guān)注和贊譽,可以說它的出現(xiàn)標志著澳大利亞華裔文學(xué)的崛起。《花園書》是卡斯特羅探討二十世紀澳大利亞種族壓迫的又一部力作。在這部小說中,卡斯特羅融合其優(yōu)良的品位、高超的敘事技巧將三代中國移民的苦難經(jīng)歷描述的感人淚下。本文旨在嘗試性地運用米歇爾·福柯的權(quán)力理論對《花園書》華裔移民所遭受的種族壓迫進行解讀。論文從以下三個角度深入剖析了華裔移民如何被壓迫,即權(quán)力的壓迫性,權(quán)力的生產(chǎn)性,以及權(quán)利和主體性。全文共分為三個部分,包括引言、主體和結(jié)論。引言包括四部分。首先簡要回顧了華裔澳大利亞文學(xué),然后對卡斯特羅及其作品《花園書》進行了簡要介紹,接著簡述了國內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)界對該部作品所做的相關(guān)評論,最后闡述了運用權(quán)力理論分析該部作品的可行性和意義。主體部分從以下三方面來分析這本小說。第一章研究了權(quán)力的壓迫性。它首先回顧了中國人移民澳洲的歷史。然后根據(jù)權(quán)力的壓迫性理論分析了華裔男性移民(以海博士為代表)和女性移民(以雙為代表)所受的壓迫。根據(jù)權(quán)力的生產(chǎn)性理論,第二章分析...
