【摘要】：馬伏里奧是《第十二夜》中一個帶有悲劇色彩的喜劇人物。他一方面具有英國清教徒的特質(zhì)——做事嚴(yán)肅認(rèn)真、拒絕任何娛樂活動;另一方面又有強烈的向上爬的欲望。莎士比亞通過塑造這一形象表明自己對英國清教的矛盾態(tài)度:否定之中有肯定。他認(rèn)為英國清教反對娛樂的行為是對人性的壓抑,但同時又認(rèn)為清教教義中對秩序的肯定可以遏制人私欲的膨脹——這恰恰是英國文藝復(fù)興后期出現(xiàn)的一個嚴(yán)重問題。除此之外,莎士比亞還通過馬伏里奧可笑而可悲的表演觸及人性的弱點——人對自我認(rèn)識的局限性。他通過馬伏里奧的悲劇揭示了人類主觀認(rèn)識和客觀世界的永恒矛盾,使《第十二夜》少了一般喜劇的膚淺,從而成為一部經(jīng)典之作。
[Abstract]:Malvolio is a tragic comedy character in Twelfth Night. On the one hand, he had the qualities of the British Puritans-serious and serious, refusing any entertainment; on the other hand, he had a strong desire to climb up. Shakespeare portrayed this image as an expression of his ambivalent attitude towards the British Puritanism: positive in negation. He believed that the British Puritanism's anti-entertainment behavior was a suppression of human nature, but at the same time, he believed that the order in Puritanism could certainly contain the inflation of selfish desire, which was a serious problem in the late Renaissance of England. In addition, Shakespeare touched upon the weakness of human nature-the limitation of man's understanding of himself-through his ludicrous and pathetic performance. Through the tragedy of Marvolio, he reveals the eternal contradiction between human subjective cognition and the objective world, and makes Twelfth Night less superficial than the general comedy, thus becoming a classic.
