【摘要】：威廉·斯泰龍(1925-2006)被譽(yù)為他那個(gè)時(shí)代最有前途的青年作家。他的小說(shuō)通常包含著對(duì)美國(guó)南北戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng),種族暴亂以及世界民族矛盾的深刻思考。他的代表作《蘇菲的選擇》通過(guò)展示集中營(yíng)歷史以及幾個(gè)不同民族的經(jīng)歷真實(shí)再現(xiàn)了民族問(wèn)題與種族矛盾。小說(shuō)以它獨(dú)特的敘事策略而聞名。本論文將主要運(yùn)用美國(guó)敘事學(xué)家赫曼的嵌入式敘事觀點(diǎn)探討《蘇菲的選擇》中的敘事策略。論文第一章通過(guò)申丹的第一人稱(chēng)視角理論討論了作為框架故事的斯汀戈的成長(zhǎng)故事。斯汀戈的第一人稱(chēng)敘述不僅反映了青年斯汀戈的成長(zhǎng)歷程,而且呈現(xiàn)了成熟后的斯汀戈對(duì)過(guò)往事件的深刻思考和精辟評(píng)論。第二章利用敘述主體變形,窗口的移動(dòng)及時(shí)間、空間并置等理論探討被包含在框架故事內(nèi)的蘇菲的選擇故事。論文第三章通過(guò)分析框架故事和被包含故事的相互作用,說(shuō)明這種嵌入式敘事結(jié)構(gòu)是小說(shuō)獲得成功的關(guān)鍵,即深化了主題又增加了故事的戲劇性。
[Abstract]:William Stallone 1925-2006 was hailed as the most promising young writer of his time. His novels usually contain profound reflections on the American Civil War, racial riots, and world ethnic contradictions. His masterpiece, the Choice of Sophie, reveals the history of the concentration camp and the experiences of several different nationalities. The novel is famous for its unique narrative strategy. This thesis mainly discusses the narrative strategy in Sophie's Choice by using the embedded narrative viewpoint of American narratologist Herman. The first chapter discusses the growth story of Stimgo as a frame story through Schenden's first-person theory. The first person narration of Stimgo not only reflects the growth course of young Stimgo, but also presents the mature Stimgo's profound thinking and incisive comments on past events. The second chapter discusses Sophie's choice story which is included in the frame story by using the theory of narrative subject deformation, window movement, time and space collocation. By analyzing the interaction between the frame story and the contained story, the third chapter shows that the embedded narrative structure is the key to the success of the novel, that is, it deepens the theme and increases the drama of the story.
