【摘要】：作為美國(guó)19世紀(jì)浪漫主義小說的代表,霍桑因其寫作中運(yùn)用心理分析的手法開創(chuàng)了美國(guó)小說的新時(shí)代,對(duì)美國(guó)文學(xué)乃至世界文學(xué)的創(chuàng)作產(chǎn)生了重要影響,其作品《紅字》就是他歷久不衰的代表作之一。在清教徒思想中關(guān)于人的原罪和內(nèi)在墮落理論的影響下,該書對(duì)海斯特,丁梅斯代爾和齊林沃斯的多重人物形象刻畫打破了當(dāng)時(shí)文學(xué)界單一的人物形象刻畫模式,生動(dòng)地描述了清教主義對(duì)人性的壓迫與禁錮和人們天生追求幸福之間的矛盾。小說著重心理活動(dòng)分析,構(gòu)思精巧,敘述含蓄,人物刻畫內(nèi)涵豐富,自1850年問世以來,《紅字》就成進(jìn)入了研究者的視野,為廣大讀者津津樂道。他們從不同角度,比如超驗(yàn)主義,象征主義,生態(tài)女性主義等等對(duì)該作品進(jìn)行解讀。 評(píng)價(jià)理論是馬丁對(duì)系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)的批判性的擴(kuò)充和拓展。它旨在解釋人們?nèi)绾问褂谜Z言來評(píng)估,表明立場(chǎng)及構(gòu)建人際關(guān)系。很多學(xué)者都曾運(yùn)用該理論來分析文本,但多限于廣告語篇,學(xué)術(shù)語篇以及科技語篇的研究。此外,小說《紅字》的研究也大多局限于文學(xué)領(lǐng)域。本論文試圖以評(píng)價(jià)理論為基礎(chǔ),運(yùn)用其中體現(xiàn)人際意義的態(tài)度系統(tǒng)分別對(duì)三位主人公的對(duì)話進(jìn)行選擇性分析,通過分析對(duì)話中評(píng)價(jià)資源的分布特征,揭示小說主人公海斯特,丁梅斯代爾和齊林沃斯的人物性格。 本文采用定量和定性分析的混合法,根據(jù)海斯特女性意識(shí)的三次飛躍對(duì)其中的態(tài)度資源進(jìn)行收集和分析,試圖闡明海斯特,丁梅斯代爾和齊林沃斯的獨(dú)特性格：第一,海斯特善于為他人著想,富于同情心,此外,她敢于正視錯(cuò)誤,挑戰(zhàn)權(quán)威；第二,丁梅斯代爾知識(shí)淵博,善于雄辯,但自私虛偽；第三,齊林沃斯曾經(jīng)關(guān)心他人,求知欲強(qiáng),但自我毀損,報(bào)復(fù)心強(qiáng)。
[Abstract]:As the representative of American Romantic novels in 19th century, Hawthorne initiated a new era of American novels because of the use of psychoanalysis in his writing, and exerted an important influence on the creation of American literature and even world literature. His work, the Scarlet letter, is one of his enduring masterpieces. Under the influence of Puritan thought on the original sin of man and the theory of internal depravity, the book has a great influence on Hester. Dimmesdale and Chillingworth's multiple portrayal of characters broke the single pattern of portrayal of characters in literary circles at that time. It vividly describes the contradiction between the oppression and imprisonment of human nature by Puritanism and the natural pursuit of happiness. Since its publication in 1850, the Scarlet letter has entered the field of vision of the researchers and has been relished by readers. They interpret the work from different angles, such as transcendentalism, symbolism, eco-feminism, and so on. Evaluation theory is Martin's critical expansion and extension of systemic functional linguistics. It is designed to explain how people use language to evaluate, state their positions and build relationships. Many scholars have used this theory to analyze texts. However, most of the studies are limited to advertising discourse, academic discourse and scientific discourse. In addition, the study of the novel the Scarlet letter is mostly confined to the field of literature. Through the selective analysis of the dialogue between the three protagonists by using the attitude system which embodies interpersonal meaning, the author reveals the protagonist, Hester, by analyzing the distribution characteristics of the evaluation resources in the dialogue. The characters of Dimmesdale and Chilinworth. This paper uses the mixed method of quantitative and qualitative analysis to collect and analyze the attitude resources according to the three leaps of Hester's female consciousness, and tries to clarify the uniqueness of Heist, Dimmesdale and Chilinworth: first, Hester was considerate, compassionate, and, in addition, dared to face her mistakes and challenge authority; second, Dimmesdale was knowledgeable, eloquent, but selfish and hypocritical; and third, Chilinworth had cared for others and had a strong desire for knowledge. But self-destructing, revenge is strong.
