【摘要】：《弗洛斯河上的磨坊》和《京華煙云》是19世紀(jì)英國著名的批判現(xiàn)實(shí)主義作家喬治·艾略特與中國著名小說家，散文家，哲學(xué)家，語言學(xué)家及詞典編撰者林語堂先生的各自代表作品。他們的作品為文學(xué)世界帶來了深遠(yuǎn)影響也將永遠(yuǎn)持續(xù)下去。《弗洛斯河上的磨坊》描述了女主人公麥琪的跌宕欺負(fù)的一生。在她短暫的生命里，經(jīng)歷了家庭的不幸后，她的心里和思想在許多方面發(fā)生了很大的變化。國內(nèi)外研究院從多角度多方面對小說進(jìn)行研究，同時(shí)也為今后的研究提供了大量寶貴意見�！毒┤A煙云》講述了主角姚木蘭的睿智生活。林語堂曾說，如果他是女人，他一定要成為木蘭那樣的女性。在他的眼中，木蘭具有一切女人應(yīng)該擁有的一切素質(zhì)，她的優(yōu)雅、她的善良和她的才華。這本小說幫助西方人更好的了解中國文化和當(dāng)時(shí)的生活。 有許多的人都對這兩部著名作品進(jìn)行了品評。而在先前所有的研究中，卻很少有作家對這兩位女主人公從某一方面進(jìn)行對比研究。直至現(xiàn)在，仍有許多作者從導(dǎo)致麥琪悲劇生活的原因，將麥琪作為小說作者的影子以及解析她生活的社會來解讀《弗洛斯河上的磨坊》。而對《京華煙云》的主要研究更多關(guān)注于道家思想從多方面對木蘭的影響而著手。因此，，采用定性方法與文學(xué)批評理論的指導(dǎo)下，本文旨在從倫理方面探討麥琪與木蘭在不同文化，社會背景的相似性。本文通過分析兩個(gè)人物的同一倫理角度的不同態(tài)度來探尋二者的相似之處，而后分析出導(dǎo)致相似的原因。最后，筆者得出麥琪和木蘭在自我發(fā)現(xiàn)，抵抗和妥協(xié)上存在許多相似的地方。
