【摘要】： 記者招待會口譯由于其外交及政治等特性,應(yīng)理解為一種有明確目的導(dǎo)向的跨文化交際行為。本文以記者招待會口譯為研究對象,從分析此類口譯全過程的涉及者這一新視角入手,采用解釋性和實證研究方法來論證功能翻譯理論和釋意理論對其的適用性和指導(dǎo)意義。 本文首先詳細介紹了功能翻譯理論,釋意理論和記者招待會口譯;接著在分析口譯全過程涉及者的基礎(chǔ)上,提出:此類口譯過程不但包括譯員、會議發(fā)言者(原語產(chǎn)生者)和聽眾(譯語接受者),還存在一個特殊的成員——口譯過程的發(fā)起者,一般為政府機構(gòu)或國家。譯員作為貫穿始末的因素,在會議之前就從發(fā)起者處得到“翻譯要求”,之后始終以此要求為口譯基調(diào),為文化背景不同的發(fā)言者和聽眾做出口譯行為。 研究發(fā)現(xiàn):功能翻譯理論的目的論很好地解釋了譯員與口譯過程發(fā)起者的關(guān)系——譯員在口譯過程中必須以翻譯要求為導(dǎo)向,來實現(xiàn)發(fā)起者所要求達到的交際目的,表現(xiàn)為譯文的政治性導(dǎo)向等特質(zhì)。但譯員并不完全被翻譯要求所束縛。在口譯過程中,譯員需要根據(jù)發(fā)言人和聽眾的文化差異等情況,對具體的口譯策略、技巧等細節(jié)做出其認為合適的選擇,而釋意理論則能對譯員與這兩者的關(guān)系做出合理的解釋。
