【摘要】：本論文旨在將跨文化對比語篇分析的理論和方法應用于中美國家領導人講話語篇的對比分析，并將其分析結論付諸其翻譯實踐。本論文分為四章，主要內(nèi)容介紹如下： 第一章主要追溯了對比語言學、語篇分析及對比語篇分析的歷史發(fā)展。國外對比語言學的發(fā)展主要歸于沃爾夫、拉多、詹姆士、菲亞斯科及巴茨爾·哈蒂姆等諸多學者的努力。在中國，近幾十年來也有越來越多的學者對此學科頗為關注，如趙元任、趙世開、呂叔湘、許余龍等。自1941年沃爾夫提出“對比語言學”后，這些對比語言學家們從不同角度、不同層次對語言對比的理論及應用提出了深入的見解，同時，其他諸多學科與對比語言學的結合也推動著這一學科不斷朝著更深更廣的方向發(fā)展。而語篇分析則是其中之一。語篇分析出現(xiàn)于1952年，在此之后的發(fā)展過程中，不斷融入新的有價值的研究方向和角度。隨著兩門學科的逐步融合，最終產(chǎn)生了一個新的分支—對比語篇分析。應該說，對比語篇分析的產(chǎn)生一部分要歸于對比語言學，而另一部分則與語篇分析緊密聯(lián)系。近年來，越來越多的國內(nèi)外語言學家對此分析極為關注，研究視角也日趨深入和多樣化。 第二章簡要概述對比語篇分析的理論和方法，應該說，本論文中所用語篇分析方法是包括功能語篇分析、語用學、批評語篇分析及文化學在內(nèi)的語言學諸分支中理論與方法的綜合體。功能語篇分析注重對語義系統(tǒng)(語域、語旨、語式)的分析，結合本論文的實際特點，筆者選擇語旨來作為分析的一個方面；同時，筆者將語用學中“禮貌”理論用于對語篇策略的分析，以期發(fā)現(xiàn)中英文語篇在使用策略方面的異同之處；此外，將FTA理論與文本類型相結合進行分析，可對其講話者所用策略的恰當與否做出評價。隨著“文化”概念的不斷推廣，，一些語言學家們開始嘗試將語言層面的現(xiàn)象與文化層面相結合，以期為不同語言系統(tǒng)之間的差異尋找文化溯源。 第三章主要從以上所提及的研究視角入手對中美國家領導人講話語篇進行具體的 對比分析，以發(fā)現(xiàn)兩語篇在語旨、話語結構、禮貌策略、句法結構和詞匯等方面的異同 之處。同時，本章也對中美思維層面進行了對比分析并試圖為語言層面的差異作出淦釋。 在本章對比分析過程中，主要采用舉例說明法進行分析說明，輔以量化統(tǒng)計法用于詞匯 層面的數(shù)據(jù)統(tǒng)計。通過一系列的對比分析，我們會發(fā)現(xiàn)，中美領導人講話語篇在語旨、 句法結構、禮貌策略等方面均存在著較大差異，中國領導人傾向于使用正式詞語及政治 術語，慣用程式化的政治語言，善用排比及重復來凸顯整齊句式結構，在篇章中更多的 使用歸納式禮貌策略，而美國領導人則與之不同。 第四章力圖將中美國家領導人講話語篇對比分析結論付諸于漢英翻譯實踐以實現(xiàn) 其指導意義。領導人講話兼有“告知”和“勸說”功能，但與其文本功能實現(xiàn)相關的語 言工具在中英語篇中則不盡相同。為了保證在翻譯過程中文本功能不被轉(zhuǎn)換或喪失，譯 者必須弄清中英語篇所使用的語言策略的不同并在漢英翻譯實踐過程中進行適當轉(zhuǎn)換。 例如:中國領導人講話語篇多用正式性詞語、政治術語及形式相對固定的問候語等，而 根據(jù)本文的分析，美國領導人則不然，如采取直譯法，譯文讀者可能會大為不解，適當 轉(zhuǎn)換則是必需之舉。本章結合幾個具體方面提出了一些相應的翻譯策略。鑒于本論文中 的分析僅針對中美領導人講話語篇的對比分析，這里所提出的翻譯策略無法概括漢英翻 譯中的所有問題，但在很大程度上可以為此類文本類型的翻譯實踐提供部分借鑒。 本論文嘗試將跨文化對比語篇分析的理論和方法應用于一種在此之前較少涉及的 文本類型，并將其分析結論用于對翻譯實踐的指導。在此論文中，我嘗試將更多新的研 究視角納入此分析過程，得出的新結論已體現(xiàn)于第四章所提出的翻譯策略中。
