意識形態(tài)與贊助人因素制約下《親歷歷史》譯文之改寫

翻譯能促進不同民族人民之間的交流,對一個國家的政治、文化、社會發(fā)展意義重大。但長期以來,人們對翻譯的研究局限在語言層面。傳統(tǒng)的翻譯理論以原文本為中心,認為原文本才具有權威性,而翻譯則被認為是衍生的,是復制品,應從屬于原文。20世紀80年代出現(xiàn)的“文化轉向”為翻譯研究帶來了一種可喜的變化�!拔幕D向”不再以對等、忠實為要,提出應關注歷史、文化、意識形態(tài)和詩學等因素。在諸多介紹“文化轉向”的理論中,勒費維爾的改寫理論貢獻突出。改寫理論著重研究原文本和目標語文本之間的差異以及文化和意識形態(tài)因素。這就把翻譯研究者的視野從語言層面擴展到更大的文化層面。受改寫理論啟發(fā),本文擬從意識形態(tài)和贊助人角度探討《親歷歷史》中譯本中的改寫痕跡。文章首先提出全文的理論框架,包括理論的興起、發(fā)展及意義,其中重點探討理論中的贊助人和意識形態(tài)兩因素。文章接著從贊助人和意識形態(tài)角度分析《親歷歷史》的有關方面,如選材,審核及翻譯策略等。翻譯策略方面著重討論了省略和切換兩種方法。通過以上研究,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)《親歷歷史》中譯本的改寫痕跡并非偶然。在改寫中起主要作用的譯者受到特定的社會意識形態(tài)和文化影響。在翻譯過程中,譯者可以選擇接...
