認知視角下的英漢諧音對比研究

  諧音作為語言中普遍存在的一種語言現(xiàn)象,越來越受到學界的關注。誠然這些已有的研究成果為本文提供了堅實的基礎,但是它們也有不足之處。首先,這些研究主要是以靜態(tài)的方式對諧音表達的外部特征進行分析,缺乏對諧音的動態(tài)研究以及其內(nèi)部生成理解機制的研究,而且在為數(shù)不多的英漢諧音對比研究中,很少對其進行系統(tǒng)的全面的對比研究。鑒于此,本論文旨在對英漢兩種語言中的諧音進行動態(tài)的全面的對比研究,在對比英漢諧音外部特征及功能的基礎上,我們以徐盛桓提出的“自主-依存”分析框架(2007a)為理論對比探討了英漢諧音的內(nèi)部生成和理解機制。我們主要從四個方面對比了諧音的外部特征,即諧音的定義、分類、來源和功能。漢語的“諧音”概念通常被認為與英語中的“同音異義”一詞對等,然而,仔細考察二者的定義,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)它們完全不是對等的概念。漢語中的諧音指對發(fā)音相同或相近詞語的動態(tài)使用,而英語中的“同音異義”是對發(fā)音相同的詞的靜態(tài)描述,換言之,同音異義是語言中潛在的諧音,只有當它們被實際使用時才可能變成諧音表達。而且,諧音還包括語言運用中的近音詞。為了確保本文的效度,也為了便于討論,本文對英漢諧音給出了新的工作定義:“在語言使用過程...
