元話語（metadiscourse）是用來協(xié)商語篇中的互動意義,幫助說話者或作者表達(dá)觀點(diǎn),并使聽者或讀者參與其中的語言形式。國內(nèi)外學(xué)者主要將元話語應(yīng)用于教學(xué)研究和語篇分析之中,但大多是在系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)、語用學(xué)或修辭學(xué)視角下,也就是基于詞匯——語法和社會語境層面,定量分析其在議論性或說明性文體中的分布,探討其篇章和人際意義,或在語篇中的語用或修辭效果�；谡Z篇語義層面,在其他文體中針對元話語人際意義的研究鮮有涉及,而人物評論是一種描寫、記敘和議論有機(jī)結(jié)合的文體形式。鑒于此,本文以Martin評價(jià)理論之介入子系統(tǒng)為理論視角,采用Hyland& Tse （2004）元話語的分類方式——交互式（interactive）和互動式（interactional）兩大類,旨在研究元話語在中英人物評論中多聲互動的構(gòu)建。本文選取《南方人物周刊》（電子版）和Times Online中各50篇人物評論為語料,對其中的元話語進(jìn)行定量和定性分析。首先,分析數(shù)據(jù)表明在中英文語料中,交互式元話語的使用頻率都高于互動式元話語,但兩大類元話語在英文語料中的使用頻率又都明顯高于其在中文語料中的使用頻率;同時(shí)各個(gè)子類...
