　　依據(jù)勒菲弗爾的翻譯理論,翻譯是一種改寫,受到意識形態(tài)、贊助人、詩學等因素的影響。其中,意識形態(tài)是最重要的操縱因素之一。縱觀國內(nèi)外翻譯史,意識形態(tài)對翻譯的操縱作用至始至終貫穿其內(nèi),或強或弱,或隱或顯。翻譯,無論是作為文化現(xiàn)象、思想運動,還是作為一項職業(yè)、一種技能,總與所處的時代背景密不可分。翻譯的觀念、方法、樣式、標準、風格,無不與時俱進。中國歷史上出現(xiàn)過三次翻譯高潮,東漢至唐宋的佛經(jīng)翻譯、明末清初的科技翻譯和鴉片戰(zhàn)爭至“五四”的西學翻譯,每一次翻譯高潮的翻譯動機、翻譯選材、翻譯策略無不受當時社會意識形態(tài)的牽制和制約,無不映射出社會意識形態(tài)對翻譯活動的操縱。嚴復是中國近代史上一位著名的資產(chǎn)階級啟蒙思想家和翻譯家,他以英國為研究目標,學習其富強之道,探討其政治、經(jīng)濟及社會制度先進的原因。抱著醒世覺民、富國強政的理想和目的,他先后翻譯了十余種西方資產(chǎn)階級的哲學、經(jīng)濟學、社會學、法學和邏輯學著作；其中,最有代表性的是為世人所稱道的八大社會科學名著。這些譯著將西方有價值的進步思想比較系統(tǒng)地傳輸?shù)街袊?使窒息已久的中國思想界開闊了眼界,滿足了人們尋求救國救民真理的渴望。作為翻譯家和思想家的嚴復備受...
