本研究以16組英漢維度形容詞為研究對(duì)象,基于認(rèn)知識(shí)解理論,采用實(shí)證研究的方法,對(duì)比漢語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)使用者（Chinese Native Speaker）和英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)使用者（English Native Speaker）就英漢語(yǔ)維度形容詞的語(yǔ)義認(rèn)知模式在語(yǔ)內(nèi)和語(yǔ)際的異同,并試從認(rèn)知語(yǔ)言學(xué)角度加以闡釋。通過(guò)多層面對(duì)比研究發(fā)現(xiàn):1.英漢本族語(yǔ)使用者使用對(duì)比的手法對(duì)英漢維度形容詞進(jìn)行語(yǔ)義識(shí)解,其語(yǔ)義認(rèn)知原型上存在共性:兩者都認(rèn)“big/small”和“大小”的語(yǔ)義認(rèn)知原型是無(wú)維度的圓形和球體;“wide（broad）/narrow”和“寬/窄的認(rèn)知原型是橫向維度的木板、河流和長(zhǎng)方形;“deep/shallow”和“深/淺”都表示從參照面（容器的開(kāi)口面）往下或往里到容器內(nèi)部某一點(diǎn)的垂直距離;“high/tall”和“高”是描述物體垂直維度（上下維度）“高度”的形容詞,典型的原型是高樓建筑或者人高,方向指向性是由下而上�！癴ar/near（close）”和“遠(yuǎn)/近”的語(yǔ)義認(rèn)知原型是“物體變大/小”來(lái)表示物體在近處還是遠(yuǎn)處;“thick₁/thin₁”和“厚/薄...
