論中美大學(xué)生道歉策略選擇之異同

道歉言語行為的研究是在言語行為理論、禮貌原則、面子理論等語用學(xué)理論的發(fā)展進(jìn)程中,是交往規(guī)則和言語行為文化差異的跨文化對比研究中不可忽視的一部分。道歉既是一種普遍而又復(fù)雜的言語現(xiàn)象,又是一種重要的交際活動(dòng),它與陳述、請求、安慰、祝賀、贊美、問候等一樣,都是在人與人之間的交流中以語言為交際手段,用語句作為信息承載的言語行為。這些行為的實(shí)現(xiàn),都可能對聽話人施加某些影響。如果我們只把“道歉”一詞簡單地理解為“對不起”、“請?jiān)彙钡脑?那不免有些狹隘。而最早對道歉語進(jìn)行研究的是Olshtain(沃爾西頓)和Cohen(科恩),他們將道歉定義為“一種對文化具有敏感性、具有一定的語義成分或策略的言語行為組。”J.Homes (霍姆斯)從功能的角度將道歉定義為“當(dāng)A冒犯了B,道歉可以被用來維護(hù)B的面子,并且彌補(bǔ)冒犯的后果,進(jìn)而恢復(fù)A與B之間的和諧(A是道歉者,B是被冒犯者)。Fraser(弗雷澤)則指出:“只有在兩種基本條件成立時(shí),道歉才有可能發(fā)生。第一,說話者對自己的舉止行為承認(rèn)負(fù)有責(zé)任。第二,由于說話者自己的舉止行為產(chǎn)生了冒犯對方的后果,說話者因此傳遞出某種遺憾的信息!睂τ诘狼,一般都有著約定俗...
